Teun Vogelaar, better known as Faux, is the main antagonist and final boss of the 2023 indie video game Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. He was once regarded as one of the Big 3, the top three writers in New Amsterdam, alongside DJ Cyber and Felix; before getting beheaded by DJ Cyber as revenge for him killing Felix out of jealousy and spite due to Felix becoming All City by conquering all five boroughs of the city with his graffiti, as well as him knowing he had his corrupt cop father frame other innocent writers for his own crimes.
Faux's severed head would eventually be found by the New Amsterdam Police, which they used in their Project Algo program originally meant to be a well-intentioned solution to all of the crime happening in the city. This backfired for them as it allowed Faux to gain control over the minds of the police force, which he would use to his advantage in his plan to wipe out every writer in New Amsterdam save for himself so he can rule the streets as "All City King".
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Before the events of the game, Faux had his father, a corrupt cop, frame innocents for his vandalism.
- When Felix finds out about Faux abusing his father's status as a cop, Faux murders Felix out of pure spite, knocking off a ladder and causing him to fall into a fan, beheading him.
- He uses his new status as Project Algo to brainwash the entire police force to do his bidding.
- When police sniper Escher voices his concerns as to whether or not the Bomb Rush Crew are a threat, Chief Inspector Berlage brings him to Project Algo, which allows Faux to brainwash him into killing BRC's member Red.
- When word gets out about Project Algo to the public, Faux has DOT.EXE's leader 8-Ball and Inspector Berlage killed, later revealing to officer Irene Rietveld his plans to eliminate every single writer in New Amsterdam so he can become All City King, before threatening to shoot her using the mind-controlled police.
- He attempts to slaughter Devil Theory, a rival of the BRC's, despite them having made a deal with him beforehand.
- When he finds out that BRC member Red is actually a resurrected Felix, he goes to wipe out the entire Bomb Rush Crew as a way to hurt Felix.
- After he loses a fight, he returns in a leviathan-like mech and grabs Red/Felix, brutally snapping his head by twisting his body until it pops off.
- He kidnaps BRC member Solace in order to use his younger body as his own, possibly as an act of spite for having stood up to him earlier as well as being a close friend of Felix.
- While he states that no one would accept him in the Writer community due to his father being a corrupt cop, this isn't played for sympathy as it comes off more as a desperate attempt to absolve himself of any wrongdoing, further invalidated by Faux willfully taking advantage of his father's cop status for his own benefit.
- While he seemed be on good terms with Tryce at the start of the game, promising to help him become All City, this is later subverted by Faux trying to kill Tryce and the rest of his gang by the end of the game.
