Father Friedstein is the main antagonist of the 2022 horror game Night At the Gates of Hell developed by Puppet Combo. He is a satanic priest that wants to bring the Apocalypse to the world by opening gates to Hell all over the world and using a book he found in order to raise the dead and create an army out of them, eventually succeeding in his plan at the cost of his life.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Before the events of the game, Friedstein and his followers routinely performed Satanic sacrifices on people for unknown reasons, although it is likely it had something to do with finding the location of the island that would let them open the gates of Hell.
- During the introduction to the game, he kills someone by hanging them from a tree above a grave, before raising the dead and having them attack a man named Liam and a woman named Razor. Razor was eaten alive by the zombies, while Liam was likely killed when Friedstein manipulated him into getting attacked by a zombie nun.
- After assembling his army of the dead, Friedstein set them all on his home village, killing hundreds of people over the course of weeks or even months, including his own cult followers for no real reason other then a desire to spread death and destruction.
- Attempts to kill David by sticking hell hounds on him, despite David not being a threat to him at that moment.
- Has his men kidnap David and his allies and imprison them in his base, intending to have them killed by the Apocalypse he would later cause.
- When David finds him in his private chambers, he tells David that he cannot close the gates to Hell that he has already opened all over the world to reduce the world to a hellish wasteland and either self immolates himself, or gives himself up as a sacrifice to Satan to ensure the Apocalypse would happen so he could "watch the world rot and wither away"
- Despite the high heinous standard of the alternate universe, he easily stands out as he is the only villain to attempt omnicide as of now and also has the highest kill count out of every villain.
