Fargo and Red are the secondary antagonists in the 1984 live-action vigilante/gang movie Savage Streets.

They are both members of The Scars and the right-hand men of Jake, their leader. Like Jake, they to want revenge against their rival gang, the Satins, for trashing their car and they share a habit of sexually harassing or assaulting anyone they come across with Jake.

They are portrayed by Sal Landi and Scott Mayer respectively.

What Makes Them Pure Evil?[]

  • Generally, they come off as bigger misogynists compared to Jake and like the latter, they are just as sadistic as him and they were willing to work alongside him to satisfy their cruel urges. They weren't even afraid to target girls younger than them, such as perving over a group of cheerleaders doing their practice.
  • Fargo came close to almost running over Heather, Brenda's deaf sister, with no remorse whatsoever and scoffed when Jake forced him to "apologize" while Red laughed apathetically.
  • They both sexually assault Fadden's girlfriend upon doing a "cavity search" of the debt he owed in front of the latter being beaten by Jake.
  • They bullied Fadden alongside Jake in the very school he goes to, let alone trespassed.
  • Red was the one who suggested the thought of getting back at the Satins by targeting Heather, to which Jake mutually agreed as he took advantage of Heather being left all alone, kissing her forcibly and teaching her inappropriate signs.
  • They both raped Heather as an act of revenge on the Satins for trashing their car, even fought taking turns for who gets to violate her next and didn't care if she was deaf or innocent since she did nothing wrong to them nor had any involvement with her sister and her friends' actions.
    • Before having their way with her, they even pressured Vince into raping her first as if it was his birthday and this would later affect Vince on having PTSD due to his remorse.
  • They hauled women over onto their laps and harass them along with Jake just to taunt Vince earlier with one of them being Francine.
  • When Fargo was forced to "apologize" for Jake, instead of doing so, he gets into a bar fight with two men who tried to stop them from harassing Francine any longer. While he does stop Jake from going after Francine once his face was scarred, it was because they would likely get into more trouble and it wasn't worth it for now.
  • They, along with Jake, threatened Vince to keep quiet due to suspecting he might rat them out when discussing the rumours of Heather's rape.
  • They helped corner Francine and torment her, when Jake was prompted to throw her off the edge while hesitating, they encouraged him to do the deed. When Francine was killed, they laughed at her corpse and mocked her with Fargo quoting how she's "all drenched in red".
  • While Fargo stopped Jake from going after Vince, it is merely pragmatic since it was would likely cause further attention that may possibly attract the police from the scenery.
  • They both tried to rape and kill Brenda out of spite upon tormenting her sister's rape.
  • Despite their friendship with Jake, they don't truly care about him out of altruistic genuineness but rather out of mutual sadism. They weren't above insulting and talking bad behind Jake's back, even onto each other, and although Fargo kisses him, it's not out of love but rather just them messing around. In addition, neither of them felt concerned with the other's well-being, while Fargo died early, Red reacted to Fargo's death out of shock instead of mourning and cowardly begged Brenda to spare him. It's also likely that Fargo would've reacted the same.
  • Despite being Jake's right-hand men, they still stand out for happily and sadistically taking part in his crimes, as well as sexually harassing and assaulting a few women on the way, with or without Jake's orders.
  • Their excuse of their gang's car being trashed is utmost petty and it shares the same needlessly cruel agenda against the Satins like Jake. While overstated, it's still played as karma since neither Fargo nor Red showed remorse over almost running over Heather and they were already evil to begin with.
