| ~ Evil Entity |
The Evil Entity is the overarching antagonist of Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, the eleventh installment of the Scooby-Doo franchise.
It is an evil Anunnaki that wants to consume and destroy the universe. It was imprisoned in what would eventually become the Cursed Treasure of Crystal Cove, but was released by Professor Pericles.
It was voiced by Clancy Brown, who also played Baron Praxis in Jak II, Lex Luthor in Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, Silas in Transformers: Prime, Montross in Star Wars: Bounty Hunter and Bloodwolf in The Adventures of Puss in Boots.
What Makes It Pure Evil?[]
- Throughout history, it manipulated and corrupted many members of the Anunnaki species and devoured entire populations of numerous planets, until it got sealed in the Interdimensional Sarcophagus, and then it manipulated and corrupted multiple mystery-solving groups, including the Annunaki's descendants, with its magic, in multiple attempts to free itself to devour the universe and reach to literally infinite levels of power.
- It manipulated humanity into forgetting about the truth of the event of the alignment of the planets of the Solar System, calling it "The Time of Nibiru", a doomsday event in which a planet called Planet X or Nibiru would destroy the Earth, when in reality it was about the arrival of the Annunaki to Earth to help the planet's population and even get along with them well, showing that it did it out of spite for the Annunaki sealing it inside the Sarcophagus to save the universe.
- Because of its very influence, Spanish conquistadors enacted bloody conquests all across the Americas, wiping out various local villages, and stealing treasures, including the Interdimensional Sarcophagus (in which the Entity was sealed), the Planispheric Disk and the Heart of the Jaguar from the Hunters of Secrets, resulting in Fernando El Aguirre taking extreme actions to hide the Sarcophagus and the Planispheric Disk and abandoning his group, dying alone in the forest.
- In the dream realms, he is still atormented by all horrible things the entity lead him and his men to do. Because of that, he becomes full of guilty enough to try prevent the entity destruction, so that he is not released from his torment, disguising himself as the original freak monster. It is probably that the entity also influenced him into this.
- It manipulated the donkey of the Fraternitas Mysterium, Porto, into having a huge portion of Crystal Cove, that was still inhabited, blown up and sunk into the ocean, killing thousands of people.
- Its influence caused the Mystery Fellowship, aka the Darrow Family, to be buried deep into the ground and slowly perish while the sole survivor Danny ended up being driven to insanity for many decades.
- Its influence corrupted the original Mystery Incorporated members (except Cassidy Williams) and many other inhabitants of Crystal Cove into becoming self-serving sociopaths, with him influencing Ricky Owens (who would later become Mr. E) to cause massive environmental damage and even the destruction of an entire town through the products of his company Destroido, along with influencing every single masked criminal such as the Freak of Crystal Cove (who is Mayor Fred Jones Sr.) to go as far as to kidnap Fred Jones Jr. when he was a baby and threaten numerous lives, leading to Crystal Cove becoming an utterly crime-ridden sinkhole, which makes the Entity indirectly responsible for all the mayhem the villains have caused throughout the series.
- The absolute worst case is with Professor Pericles, who has a kill count of thousands, has attempted to wipe out Crystal Cove's population twice, and even sought to become the vessel for the Entity's goals.
- Its influence almost caused the current Mystery Incorporated members into separating from themselves, in the worst case being Scooby, who had to deal with a very wrathful farmer, as he got forced into forever breaking his strong friendship with Shaggy, so they wouldn't ruin Professor Pericles' plan of releasing the Evil Entity. Fortunately, this didn't work, as Scooby managed to restore Mystery Incorporated back to normal.
- As seen in the timeline without the Entity's influence, none of the horrible atrocities that has ever been committed in the series would have happened, everyone would have been decent people and have decent lives, and Crystal Cove would have been a peaceful town rather than a crime-ridden place, just showing how much ruin the Entity has brought.
- Prior to his release, he tries to manipulate the gang lying to them about their love and care for each other being unreal and only because of his influence, in order to prevent his destruction. Which they readly deny this, it stills gives Professor Pericles enough time to came and free the entity.
- After Professor Pericles released it from the Interdimensional Sarcophagus, the Evil Entity took over the body of Professor Pericles, painfully consuming him to death in order to get to a physical form, though Pericles deserved it for his terrible actions against Crystal Cove.
- When they offered to serve it, it caught Fred's parents Brad Chiles and Judy Reeves, with its tentacles and devoured them, before doing the same to Mr. E as well.
- It took control of Pericles' Kriegstaffebots, ordering them to capture the Mystery Gang so it can devour them.
- It turned Crystal Cove into a volcanic wasteland and sent its minions to capture all the town's people, devouring nearly the whole town's population onscreen just to increase its strength and break free from its prison to devour all life in the universe.
- While it has an utterly horrible death of dying in a black hole and exploding, it is karmic and well-deserved, as it brought it to itself as it completely deserved it for all its atrocities it has done for thousands of years.
- In the new timeline in which the Evil Entity never existed, Harlan Ellison reveals to Mystery Incorporated that he knew everything about the original timeline, and other timelines, and that it was a very rare occurence that Mystery Incorporated slipped the timestream with him. This heavily implies that the Entity was entirely successful in its plans in other timelines, some in which it wasn't stopped by the Annunaki at all, and others in which it wasn't destroyed by Mystery Incorporated.
- It is easily the most heinous villain in not just the series, but in the whole franchise as well, as it desired to consume/destroy the universe not just to attend its enormous appetite, but also to have fun hurting and killing people, and has an extremely high on-screen kill count, a kill count that needs an entirely new timeline to create with its destruction to make it to be undone and we see the depths of how much it corrupted everyone.
- Unlike the rest of the Anunnaki race, who were all benevolent helpers to other life forms, the Entity was a power-hungry and bloodthirsty maniac that chose to corrupt and destroy everything in front of it, proving it has a moral agency and is not made of evil.
- It is also devoid of any comedic moments or redeeming qualities at all and is played as the most horrifying threat to have ever been faced in the entire franchise.
