Eua, or Oyashiro-sama, is the overarching antagonist of the sequel series Higurashi: When They Cry Gou and Sotsu. She is the one who gave Satoko the ability to loop all so she could keep her boredom at bay. She was also the archenemy of Hanyuu Furude.
What makes her Pure Evil?
- As a means of staving her boredom, she deliberately grants a mentally unstable teenage girl looping abilities all while being fully aware she would use her powers to cause chaos throughout the loops.
- While watching Satoko, she keeps it a secret that this would result in Satoko developing a witch half who would eventually overpower and kill her human side.
- When Hanyuu arrives to stop Eua, Eua traps her and forces her to watch Satoko disembowel Rika.
- During Hanyuu's attempts at intervening in the battle between Rika and Satoko, Eua tries to crush her underneath the weight of furniture.
- Even when she honors her word and leaves the world, she had caused so much irreparable damage, it is not mitigating.
