Ernst Frederik Egin is an anime exclusive antagonist for the anime adaptation of Blue Exorcist. He is portrayed as a man that is more than willing to kill anyone in his way of killing all demons including his own family without a hint of regret.

He was voiced by Toshihiko Miki in the Japanese version of the anime, and Dave Mallow in the English version.

What Makes him Pure Evil?

• Tries to have Yuri's unborn children aborted just because they are Satan's children despite the fact, they are his own grandchildren.
• Orders Yuri to be executed just for being pregnant with Satan's children.
• Attempts to sacrifice Rin to open Gehenna and manipulated Yukio into thinking that he was going to turn him human.
• He enjoys Rin's torture and about to be sacrificed and even smiles during it.
• Cowardly begs Yukio to save him despite everything he did.
• Tells Yukio that him and Rin tarnished him family's name and to him they don't even exist before he gets dragged into Gehenna.
• His death isn't played for sympathy after everything he did and none of the characters mourn him.
