When I was in Bulgaria, down the street from my 4 star hotel, the authorities had bagged a couple of guys that had 7 kilos of plutonium in coffee cans in somebody's cellar. One cupful could take out a whole city, one of these can can take out a whole country and it has no half-life. Iraq, Iran, Libya would love to get their hands on this. What would they pay? What would their enemies pay to get their hands off. I'm in sales basically and I think I've got the perfect, umm… what would you say, sales pitch? Yeah, the perfect pitch.
~ Dengler explaining his plan

Erich Dengler is the main antagonist of the 1997 action film, No Contest 2 : Face the Evil, the stand-alone sequel to the 1995 film, No Contest. He is a greedy black market weapons and son of a dangerous Nazi scientist. Uncovering his dangerous cannisters of nerve gas each potent enough to wipe out a country, Erich seeks to sell them across the black market to make a quick buck, taking the film crew of Sharon Bell hostage for him to demonstrate his weapon.

He was portrayed by Lance Henriksen, who also played Lockdown in Transformers: Animated, Thomas Magruder in the Gun video game series, Brainiac in Superman: Brainiac Attacks and Karl Bishop Weyland in the 2010 Aliens vs. Predators video game.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Has Jarvis, a young and kind security officer that even showed him around the museum, murdered by his right-hand an order that horrifies even one of his own men for being pointlessly cruel.
  • Has the old owner of the museum shot dead by one of his minions when she tried to call for help.
  • Takes the entire film crew hostage and threatens them all with death to follow his orders.
  • Sadistically tortures an actor by forcing him to recite lines from Shakespeare, shooting him multiple times for each slip-up and dissatisfaction with his performance while mockingly telling the director, Jack Terry, that his life is on his hands, before shooting the actor dead anyway when he grew bored.
  • Attempts to sell 12 extremely dangerous cannisters of nerve gas that would melt people to death, each of them potent enough to annihilate an entire country, to multiple dangerous terrorists across the globe.
  • Threatens to brutally murder Sharon Bell's sister, Bobbi, and Jack Perry to lure her out so he and his men can kill her.
  • Only spares the chief of security under his payroll despite his visible fury for losing the card only because he is short on manpower.
  • Has no concern or care when Sharon confronts him, having obviously killed off all of his men, including his girlfriend.
  • While he has a moment talking about how in his childhood he asked his mother if his father is a god, this is far from redeeming as his father is the very person that created the deadly cannisters of nerve gas he intends to sell, only highlighting how much of a death-loving psychopath that he is.
