~ Erazor Djinn upon becoming Alf-Layla-wa-Layla. |
Erazor Djinn is the main antagonist of Sonic and the Secret Rings. He is a genie who grew tired of his existence within the storybook of the Arabian Nights and decided to absorb the tales of the book to increase his power and ultimately enter the real world, and in the process, he would erase the entire book from existence along with all the world that lay within it.
He was voiced by Masashi Ebara in Japanese and Peter Cormican in English.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He destroyed the pages of the Arabian Nights and then absorbed them to grow in power, not caring about the thousands to millions of people in the pages that died.
- Once he had escaped into the real world, he planned to dominate and destroy it in order to recreate the universe in his own image.
- He used the Flame of Judgement curse on Sonic to force him to obtain the Seven World Rings before the flame would kill him.
- He threatened to murder King Shahryar.
- He summoned an Ifrit Golem to burn the rest of the Arabian Nights.
- He turned King Solomon into an undead skeleton.
- Even after Sonic brings him the rings, Erazor still tries to kill him regardless, with Shahra taking the hit for Sonic and Erazor mocking Sonic over her sacrifice.
- Despite the fact that he seemed to care for Shahra previously, he clearly no longer feels anything for her, as he showed no feelings when she took the hit after Erazor tried to kill Sonic. This also makes him hypocritical, as he asked for Shahra to help him when he was under Sonic's control.
- Though it is implied he became a vile person due to having been cursed to grant the humans thousands of wishes, he was put under said curse as a punishment for previous misdeeds, meaning he brought his unfortunate events onto himself, especially since it is not played for sympathy.
