Tathagata Killer, also known as Emperor Tathagata Killer (in Japanese: タターガタ・キラー, Ten'nō Nyorai Kirā), is the main antagonist of the 2012 Japanese science fantasy animated film The Mystical Laws.
He is the powerful and dark Emperor of the Godom Empire who aims to take over the world with his own plan to plunge the whole world into World War III. After he was successful in world domination, he tried to destroy the world and kill the God of Earth, so he could finally become God and consume the universe.
He was voiced by Daisuke Hirakawa.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- As the strongest out of his demon-kind, he enslaved thousands of them through the shadows and forged a massive army out of them.
- Possessing the real Tathagata, using him as a vessel in order to arose power and control over pulling off a coup against the Republic of East Asia. Therefore, he formed the Godom Empire.
- Declared war against all nations and plotted to take over the whole world in his quest to "unify the world", in actuality, was to bring about annihilation to make God himself shed tears.
- Throughout his conquest, he has already conquered and oppressed 18 countries.
- He dispatched an attack on Boubai City in Nantai, killing likely thousands of innocent people and immediately conquered the country.
- He destroyed a number of navy aircraft carriers and battleships, killing hundreds of marines on board.
- He issued a warning against the US government that should they intervene, he would send out 300 missiles and fire nuclear warheads that would wipe out 50 million innocent people. He actually would've pulled it off had the US government backed out.
- He sent his forces to attack the Indian army next, waging war against the country of India.
- Sent his fleet into conquering parts of the Sea of Japan, already having established Okinawa to be part of his regime and having his fleet invade Izumo, raiding the villagers' houses and massacring them, including families. While it happened, he successfully overwhelmed Konohanasakuya-hime's interference to allow his third fleet to invade.
- After conquering Izumo, Tathaga Killer has already went onto conquering Tsushima, Kitakyushu, and Niigata next.
- Furthered his invasions and dictatorship against England, Russia, and India. Followed with the possible indication of having millions killed throughout the ongoing wars.
- He's shown to be incredibly abusive to his subordinates, kicking out any injured soldiers if they are of no use to him or proceeds to painfully torture his high-ranked members for either making one insult or talking out of line in his presence.
- He engaged on creating the "Ultimate Destructive Weapon", capable of creating a six-trillion degree fireball powerful enough to destroy an entire country, for the purpose of later annihilating Earth altogether. Despite the many warnings Theta stated to him about its use, he refuses to abort his plans for the sake of global conquest and power, uncaring of the billions of lives who'll die because of him.
- Sent his troops to capture and kill every last member of the Hermes Wings organization hiding across the world, all to ensure they don't pose a threat to his regime.
- Recently gained intentions to have Theta as his wife, intending to have her through forced marriage.
- Throughout ruling Japan with an iron fist, Tathaga Killer has established much stricter and prohibited rules that forbids people into speaking the Japanese language and following any other religion. The punishment involved executions, as well as getting the victim's family members involved regardless.
- He began indoctrinating children into believing he was their savior and that the Japanese were the enemies as the systematic education.
- After capturing and arresting Hermes Wings soldiers, he personally has Sho Shishimaru executed and broadcasted live across the entire world to watch to make an example onto those who go up against him and his empire. Luckily, he was revived by Theta/Konohanasakuya-hime once she refused the emperor's offer of letting her immigrate to Africa.
- He attempted to kill Sho in a fit of anger when he was revived, summoning his demon army to wipe him out until they were all easily demolished.
- Painfully restrained Theta and forced her into pushing the button that would activate the Ultimate Destructive Weapon, only then to be forced out of the real Tathaga when overwhelmed by Theta. When that failed, he broke her bracelet and soon forced her to activate the device, just to spitefully drive her to tears and despair of being the cause of the world's annihilation, leading to natural disasters across the globe to begin stirring up destruction and havoc, endangering millions to billions of innocent people.
- Despite his seemingly-odd affection for Theta, having tortured a subordinate for insulting her technology and intending to have her as a wife. This merely comes off as seeing Theta as his property and only grants her desires to immigrate to Africa or so much as spare her under the pragmatic approach to have her as his "queen". He also wasn't above strangling her in a threatening way or force her into something she'll regret just to hurt her.
- Despite being a demon and that his kind has been invoking the negative emotions of man, nothing indicates they are solely Made of Evil. Unlike a majority of them, Tathaga Killer is shown to establish enough personality through his manipulative demeanor and intellect.
- Although he claimed his actions were to "unify the world" and that he despised God for creating "imperfections" where he played and abandoned humanity, he was a major hypocrite as his intentions were solely to annihilate humanity out of spite and has used the Godom Empire to his own ends. Not to mention he possessed the real Tathagata as his personal vessel.
