Emperor Belos is the secondary antagonist of the Cthulhu Mythos x The Owl House crossover fanfic The Gods Awaken.
As the fanfic was written before Season 2's release, Belos was never a human being in this version. Instead, he was created from the soul of Nyarlathotep who appointed him with becoming a puppet ruler over the Isles to prepare the land for his return to form. However, Belos has his own designs in mind.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He was partially responsible for the Savage Ages so that it would convince the people of the Boiling Isles to make him their emperor.
- He petrifies thousands of witches and demons if they refused to join his coven system or attempted to rebel against his rule. Worse, Belos decides to create sentient suits of armor using the souls of the executed witches and demons. This would entail binding them all together and subjecting them to excruciating pain.
- When Camila Noceda learns the truth about her adoptive father, Belos grows to despise humanity and creates the Day of Unity as a means of destroying them someday. This is vastly different from the canon version who was a human named Philip Wittebane who worked with the Collector to mastermind the Day of Unity, a codename for the mass extermination of life on the Boiling Isles.
- Upon Nyarlathotep's return, he convinces his master to destroy the Earth. Belos orders Odalia Blight to invade the Earth to get the Necronomicon sadistically telling her to not leave any brick on the other.
- Reuniting with his adoptive daughter, Belos sentences Camila to death in an excruciating fashion.
- Every time he petrifies his enemies, he eats their Palismen.
- He threatened to have Camila's daughter Luz as his apprentice just to spite her.
- He proves to not be loyal to Nyarlathotep and secretly plans to kill him.
- His ultimate plan after mankind was wiped from existence was to acquire the powers of the Old Ones so he could destroy the Boiling Isles and recreate it in his own image.
- His death is fully deserved for his actions and is not played with sympathy. It is karmic that his teacher killed him
