~ Braddock, defending his delusional world views against the Native Americans and the French. |
Edward Braddock is a major antagonist in the 2012 video game Assassins Creed lll, He is a delusional and sadistic warlord that believes the Native Americans are helping the French Army win against him, so he enacts a genocidal campaign that while successful for a while, would soon lead to his death at the hands of Haytham Kenway.
He was voiced by Carlo Mestroni.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He lead the group of mercenaries that attacked the Kenway mansion, leading to the death of Edward Kenway and allowing Birch to sell Edward's daughter, Jenny as a sex slave. This pretty much makes him play a part in Haytham Kenway's descent into villainy amongst the Templar Order.
- After he cowardly retreats due to him and his men losing against his enemies, a man and his family ask if they can board his ship. Edward then refuses, causing the man to call him a coward, leading to Edward having his second in command, Slater, murder the man, along with his entire family, showing how petty he is.
- When the French Army offered a truce to him, he declined, wanting to drive them out of the country and prove that he was better then them, leading to him massacring many Native American tribes under the vague suspicion they were helping the French and murdering as many French Camps as possible, which eventually marked him as an enemy of many Iroquois tribes, who would eventually team up with Haytham in order to finally get rid of Braddock.
- When one of his men accuses him of treasonous behaviour, he kills him for it despite it being the truth.
- After his men get slaughtered by an ambush set up by Haytham and the Iroquois tribes, he cowardly retreats on horseback before Haytham eventually catches up to him and impales him with his hidden blade.
- While he does call Haytham "his brother" during his death scene, this is just an attempt to manipulate Haytham into not killing him, as he tried to kill him only minutes ago and his views of the world being a better place if there was more liberty is just his delusional world views, given that he killed many innocent people and even his own men for very petty reasons often.
