The Eater of Worlds is the main antagonist of the first (and only) issue of DC Comics' comic book adaptation of the videogame Terraria. It's a powerful and vile creature wishing to spread the Corruption all over Terraria.
What Makes It Pure Evil?[]
- While it's never explicitly stated whether the Eater of Worlds is behind the Corruption or a mere servant of it, it's pretty obvious that it wants it to spread and it's the only creature of the Corruption shown to have a clear personality, meaning it stands out regardless.
- This also means it can be held accountable for all the creatures killed or corrupted by the Corruption, including the Dryad race.
- It attacks Alistair, attempting to kill him and taunting him.
- When it realizes Alistair is being corrupted by the Corruption, it decides to let him live, finding him being fully corrupted more satisfying than killing him.
- While there's the possibility that there's more than one Eater of Worlds (since Calista says "Where you find an Eater of Worlds, you will also find its treasure horde"), the others are never shown so there isn't enough proof to claim that the one appearing in the issue has moral agency issues.
