“ | Now, you see...the thing is...I don't take orders from you anymore. Not since the whole abdication thing. So...long live King Charlie. He's going to be a hell of a ruler. Pun intended. Because I am going to mold him into exactly what I want. You know, you've got to admit you've been a bit of a selfish king. Keeping the whole Earth thing to yourself. | „ |
~ Dromos to Lucifer before their fight. |
Dromos is the main antagonist of Season 4 finale of the TV series Lucifer.
He is a demon and subordinate of Lucifer Morningstar who came to Earth to bring him back to Hell as their king, before attempting to replace him with a successor.
Whilst possessing Father Kinley, he was portrayed by Graham McTavish, who also voiced Zoran Lazarević in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Joseph Bertrand III in inFAMOUS 2 and Loki in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- Didn't truly care about his demon siblings, as he didn't appear concerned about them when they were defeated in the final fight.
- He holds the second biggest body count in the series, being only behind Goddess (who committed the vast majority of her murders off-screen, not to mention having much bigger resources).
- He doesn't have any sense of honor, and has a firmly "loyal to the position" way of living, turning against Lucifer the second he didn't take orders from him.
- Despite being a demon, it's been confirmed that his species can do good, which shows Dromos has full moral agency.
Background[]
- Long before his debut, he would torture damned human souls in Hell by popping their eyes, which he enjoyed.
- Killing dozens of humans to summon demons on Earth. While the majority of them died after he learned that Lucifer wasn't planning on returning, he also killed at least one human by himself beforehand, for no reason.
Season 4[]
- Kidnapping the infant Charlie (who was Lucifer's nephew and Amenadiel's son) from his mother Linda Martin.
- Assaulting Eve after she learned of their betrayal and had plans that would endanger Charlie.
- Had his demons raid Lucifer's penthouse and stole Father Kinley's vial, which was capable of sending any celestial to Hell permanently.
- Attempting to use Kinley's vial on Charlie so he could raise him as the new King of Hell in his own image and therefore replace Lucifer.
- Although he kneeled before Lucifer and returned to Hell after he assumed his devil form, it was only out of fear and he showed bitterness upon doing so, meaning he didn't do it out of honor.
- Since he returns to Hell and receives no punishment for his actions, he gets away completely scot-free and is free to continue torturing sinners for all of eternity.
Trivia[]
- He is one of the five Lucifer villains who are Pure Evil, the others being Michael, The Sinnerman, Julian McCaffrey and Pete Daily, and is the only one to be a demon.
- He is the only Lucifer Pure Evil villain to be a Karma Houdini, and the only Pure Evil to get what he wanted, although this later gets voided when Lucifer returned to Earth in Season 5. Lucifer would return to Hell for good in the series finale, but it's still a loss for Dromos due to the sweeping reforms Lucifer will introduce in Hell, meaning Dromos won't be able to torture damned souls anymore.
