Hey. Where did you go? Oh, I see. You wanna play hide and seek! :) Well, ready or not. HERE I COME.
~ Dreameater when disobeyed for the entire process.

Dreameater, also known as it's disguise, Diego, is the main antagonist of 2023 indie horror I Frog-ot. A mysterious creature, it lures humans into it's cabin so it can devour them fully, body and soul.

What Makes It Pure Evil?[]

  • Its crimes were enough for the town to take notice, as it killed 18 people, leading to them becoming missing persons cases, with no bodies ever found.
  • Not only that it eats people's bodies but their souls as well.
  • It begins the process anew with the protagonist, luring them into a comical and joyous hallucination, having them complete tasks for it so it can fully complete it's goals.
  • In the case it succeeds, it seemingly butchers the player before eating their corpse, all the while sadistically taunting them.
  • Dreameater, upon losing, furiously removes the illusion and begins to hunt the player down, while asking if they want to play "hide and seek".
  • Within the true form of the cabin, what seem to be human remains, such as skulls, can be found scattered about, likely from it's past victims that it only partially consumed.
  • When the player escapes, it makes one last attempt to kill them, before having the door slammed on it.
  • Even after the end of the game, it's more than likely it continued to consume humans, as it was never killed or punished.
  • While, while pretending to be Diego, Dreameater is very comedic, referencing Skyrim and cracking several puns, once it has it's true nature revealed, the comedy drops, and all of it's crimes are played with full darkness.
  • While Remora seems to enjoy it's company, the affection isn't mutual. It's shocked if you throw Remora in the cauldron and kill it, but it quickly moves on, resuming it's plan as if nothing happened, more surprised that the protagonist was willing to kill than genuinely distressed.
