Dream, also known as the Green God, is the overarching antagonist of the Dream SMP fanfic series Aerie.
He is an omnipotent god that creates loops that people are forced to be in. He appears at the end of the story where it is revealed that he was the one who gave Techno his voice and wrote Tommy to die in his story, in their battle Dream would control Wilbur to attack Technoblade and when Wilbur eventually came to his senses, Dream had already restarted the story. It is shown at the end of the story that Dream rips the world apart every time the loop restarts.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- Usurped control over reality and turned it into his own personal play thing, writing stories that involve endless agony and torment, all for his own sadistic amusement.
- There are two factors to Dream's character that could disqualify him from PE status depending on how you look at it.
- He referred to Sapnap as "his favorite" in shrike, which could imply that he cares for the latter, however, considering he is fully willing to send Sapnap to his death continuously with little to no concern on how it would hurt the other, it can be assumed that referring to Sapnap as "his favorite" purely meant as him being Dream's favorite pawn.
- He let George go after his true intentions were revealed, however, it was likely he simply could not kill George which was why he didn't try, thus not detracting from his PE status.
In shrike & passerine[]
- He pretended to be friends with George and Sapnap so he could then use the latter as a pawn for his own needs. It would also be revealed that the two had been placed into a loop.
- Tormented Wilbur and Technoblade with invasive voices that demand they commit several acts of violence, and in the case of Technoblade, ended up becoming a bloody sadistic murderer because of this event.
- It is said that he had only given Wilbur these horrible voices out of his own sadistic amusement.
- Sent a brainwashed Green Army after Wilbur's kingdom in order to send a message to the main characters. This even leading to the deaths of hundreds, including that of Tommy, the son of the kingdom's former emperor.
- Brainwashed a village into massacring themselves in order to create a pinpoint for the other characters to follow.
- Revealed in a sadistic manner that he was the one to plague Techno and Wilbur with the voices.
- Placed the main characters in a dream where they have to say goodbye to those they have lost in order to distract Philza while he tore the world apart.
