Dr. Tyler Adler is a major antagonist in the webcomic, Clinic of Horrors, serving as the main antagonist of the mushroom parasite arc.
He is a former docter who became a parasitic mutation after his corpse got infected by a mushroom mutation and became reanimated as a parasite, bent on endangering as many people as possible by using his mushroom infection to infect everyone in an unnamed university, as well as to have Michaelis igrained and have Bianca killed to prevent her from stopping the infection.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Although it is ambiguous whether the original doctor is in control or the mushroom, it is made clear that the one in control has a clear moral agency as he shows awareness of how people view mutations and opts to treat them with similar hostility despite being one himself.
- He invades Bianca's school under the guise of a new teacher presenting himself as a friendly man with a harmless mushroom on his head.
- He drenches some friendly trash blob mutations that Bianca was talking to before telling her that mutations are dangerous. This shows how hypocritical he is as he had said not too long ago that his mushroom was harmless.
- He infects the entire school with his spores, causing them to grow mushrooms too. Even worse, it gets established that the mushrooms would kill them if not treated, with Bianca even noting how close they students were to that point.
- He infects Bianca with his infection and makes her attack Michaelis to keep them from curing the school.
- He attempts to make a deal with Bianca that he would let her cure the school in exchange for her letting him infect them again if they wanted it, knowing that they would come back due to his influence.
- He attempts to kill Bianca for dumping the cure into the water supply and undoing his work.
- He shows no gratitude toward Mr. Yellow saving him, simply stating how much he wanted Bianca dead.
- His actions leave an aftereffect on the school that causes everybody who was infected to subconsciously hate Bianca.
- While he makes a deal with Mr. Yellow not to kill Bianca outright, he does get permission to ingrain his mushroom directly into her brain to permanently infect her, which would still kill her.
- He shows no concern of the nurses that Mr. Yellow left with him, simply ordering them to get him away from Big Father without any worry of their safety.
- While Mr. Yellow is a well-intentioned extremist who wants to save humanity from what the world has become with no desire to kill anyone, Dr. Adler is a self-centered parasite who wants to infect the world with his mushroom that he knows will kill those infected simply because he loves having a hive mind under his control.
