NOTE: This page is only about his new timeline incarnation as the Post-Naughty Dog incarnation of Dr. Nefarious Tropy was not voted Pure Evil, and thus only the new timeline version of Dr. Nefarious Tropy's info and crimes should be put here. |
“ | You were content to simply rule over space and time, but I'd rather start from scratch. Erase it all. Wipe the slate clean. I'm going to reset the timeline and rebuild it to my liking. I will become a god. Which means YOU won't exist, and neither will those featherbrained masks, or those meddling marsupials! | „ |
~ N. Tropy revealing his true plan to reset the multiverse in his image. |
Dr. Nefarious Tropy, commonly known as N. Tropy, is the secondary antagonist of the Crash Bandicoot franchise. He first appeared as a major antagonist in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, and appeared 22 years later as the main antagonist of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He joined Uka Uka and Cortex's plot to conquer the universe by gathering crystals from across space and time.
- After enduring Cortex's company for two decades, N. Tropy grew violently impatient and verbally abusive towards almost everyone around him, which was made evident when he fought with Cortex over using Uka Uka to conquer the world, while viciously pulling on the latter. And while his squabbles with Cortex are funny at first, N. Tropy eventually decides to wipe him out from existence to make his life better.
- When his former master Uka Uka exhausted all of his energy to create a dimensional rift through which he, N. Tropy and Cortex could escape, causing him to pass out, N. Tropy coldly ordered a slightly unnerved Cortex to leave the seemingly lifeless Uka Uka trapped in the dimension for dead, as he had outlived his usefulness, betraying him.
- He betrayed Cortex and revealed his true plan to not use his Rift Generator to rule the multiverse, but erase it instead, wiping everyone from existence so he could remake it in his own image and become a god. His reason for deciding to erase Cortex (other than him not being able to defeat Crash and Coco) was simply because he was too narrow-minded for his tastes.
- Cortex is appalled by what N. Tropy plans, though this is in part because he is in danger of being wiped out from existence because of him.
- He elected a female version of himself from another dimension to be his partner due to their shared narcissism and sadism. He also got a charge out of Female N. Tropy's account of murdering her dimension's Crash and Coco in front of Tawna.
- While he flirted with his female counterpart, there is no indication that he genuinely cares for her, possibly seeing her as just an extension of himself, making his "love" self centered rather than altruistic. His female counterpart also doesn't seem to love him, only lust for him.
- When his female counterpart tells of her sadistic pleasures during their boss fight, such as her love of pulling legs off live spiders, he stated how he enjoyed it in a flirtatious tone.
- He attempted to kill Crash and his friends so he could get on with erasing the multiverse, and after being defeated, it is implied he went on to plot his malicious return along with his counterpart.
Trivia[]
- He is one of the only two Pure Evils (alongside his female counterpart) of the Crash Bandicoot franchise.
- Dr. Nefarious Tropy wasn't Pure Evil in the Crash Bandicoot games prior to It's About Time, as, despite being taken completely seriously, he failed to overcome the series' Heinous Standards, with Uka Uka and the Evil Twins being far greater threats than him. However, he makes it as PE in the Crash Bandicoot 4 timeline, as he is far worse than even Uka Uka in this version.
