~ Dr. Moreau to Van Helsing. |
Dr. Moreau is the main antagonist of the one-shot comic book Van Helsing: From Beneath the Rue Morgue.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Fused human (some of which he stole from the morgue) and animal body parts together to create monstrous chimeras solely out of a God complex-as well as to spite God Himself and possibly humanity as a whole. What's even worst is that their human consciousness is still present, but powerless to do anything against their violent, animal instincts.
- As a result of his actions, one of his creations, Beathán (originally an innocent family man whose heart Moreau ripped out to put into an amphibious body he created), murdered his own wife and daughter upon his escape, most likely while being aware but unable to do anything about it.
- Is completely apathetic when Van Helsing informs him that Beathán killed two innocent women.
- Unleashes Beathán onto Van Helsing to kill him in an attempt to escape.
- Upon escaping, he drowns his entire lab out, killing all of his other creations. His actions almost killed Helsing and Beathán in the process as well.
- This most likely means Beathán will kill anyone in his path, while still being aware without any power to stop himself.
- He shows no remorse for killing his creations and simply plans to start over with more unethical experimentations on an island-thus getting away with all of his crimes.
- He easily meets the heinous standard for subjecting innocent humans to a fate worst than death despite his lesser resources-relying solely on scientific methods as opposed to dark magic, while also lacking Dr. Frankenstein's more advanced technology to aid him in his evil ways.
