“ | So wise. Indeed, my encounter revealed my true calling: to become humanity's guardian, the hero this planet needs. With my enhanced form, I shall rid Earth of all violent beings, starting with all Cybertronians. | „ |
~ After explaining his backstory, Dr. Meridian reveals his intention of wiping out Cybertronians from the Earth. |
Dr. Meridian, also known by the nickname Mandroid, is the main antagonist of Season 1 of the 2022 cartoon series Transformers: EarthSpark and the video game Transformers: EarthSpark - Expedition.
He was once a scientist in the Transformers war but ended up being the victim of an attack that killed most of his teammates and cost him a right arm. In his quest to wipe out all Cybertronians on Earth in order to "protect" humanity and get revenge for what happened to him, he willingly augmented himself, progressively became an evil far worse than Megatron during his days as a ruthless Decepticon leader.
He was voiced by Diedrich Bader.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Although he was a tragic victim of the Great War, losing his arm in the process, his grudge towards robotic lifeforms out of sheer hatred saw Dr. Meridian reached the point where such tragedy could no longer paint him in sympathetic light.
- To further drive this point, Twitch and Trash rightfully pointed out how much he casted away his humanity during their final battle, figuratively and literally, in which he actually inflicted much more damage to himself than what was ever inflicted to him by robots because he refused to move on.
- His intentions to kill Cybertronians on Earth were done out of petty prejudice towards the machine lifeforms instead of a genuine desire to protect Earth.
- Ordered Skywarp to kill Optimus Prime during a Human/Autobot festival in an attempt to take the Prime's left arm.
- Mind-controlled other Cybertronians to help him find a piece of Cybertronian technology that could eliminate Cybertronian life.
- Mistreats Aracnamechs and the Ghoids, showing how little he cares for them.
- Performing vivisections on Cybertronians so he can upgrade himself with them.
- After using the space bridge to wipe out Cybertronians, instead of expressing regret, he instead expressed joy that he finally got rid of them from the world, showing that he had since become a crazed madman. However, he immediately dies from terminal cancer. His victory was also short-lived, as Robby and Mo Malto used their cyber-sleeves to successfully revive all the Autobots, Decepticons, and Terrans.
