Dr. Gross is a supporting antagonist in Adventure Time. She served as the main antagonist of the Season 8 "Preboot/Reboot" arc and the posthumous overarching antagonist of the “Islands” miniseries.
She is a doctor who used to teach the remaining humans on the island before becoming obsessed with her experiments and cybernetic modifications. She now wishes to modify all of humanity and bring them into a golden age.
She was voiced by Lennon Parham.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- She installed implants into the "Seekers" on the island and taught them to bring people who tried to leave back through force.
- When Kara/Susan tried to help Frieda escape the island, Gross brainwashed Kara into destroying Frieda's boat and dragging her back to the island.
- She developed an obsession with cybernetics and hybrids, which drove her to experiment on many animals.
- Her experiments lead to the release of a virus that killed 62% of the island's population. While she didn't intend for that to happen, she was uncaring of this and continued her experiments.
- She paralyzed Finn, Jake and Susan and tried to modify them against their will.
- She planned on forcing all of humanity to become cyborgs like herself.
- When Susan, Finn, and Jake escaped, Gross tried to cut them up and use them for spare parts.
- Despite Adventure Time’s high heinous standard, Dr. Gross manages to stand out by doing the worst she could with her low resources, as well as her personal villainy towards Susan and Frieda, both of whom were deeply traumatized by her actions towards them.
