Doomsday is a minor antagonist in the Injustice franchise.
He is a monstrous Kryptonian creation of ancient origin who desires to destroy all life, proving himself to be perhaps the deadliest enemy of Superman. Although he holds little significance in his participation for the main story, the full extent of his rogue characterization is fully revealed in the offset Arcade mode.
He was voiced by Khary Payton.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- Unlike his regular comics counterpart, he is FAR from being a mindless destroyer, showing complete coherency and characterization in his goals.
- Although he is implied to have the same origin including having been trained through inhuman means, it does not make him tragic given that his origin is never brought up for sympathy or even an explanation for his behavior.
- Although he does obey Superman, not only was he essentially brainwashed, but he also maintains his own evil personality.
- Though the heinous standards of Injustice are certainly astronomical, Doomsday easily manages to stand out and pass them having both a unique approach to his crimes as well as his extent of destruction on the world.
Main Story/Past[]
- Attempted to murder Superman by any means necessary, going as far as destroying and murdering helpless innocents across Metropolis.
Classic Battle[]
- Violently beat up and trapped Superman in the phantom zone after having broken himself from his control.
- Deeming the world forever under his tyranny, he murdered Metahumans all across the map by means of genocide.
- Used the technology in the Fortress of Solitude to terraform Earth into a miserable scape for humanity.
- Hunted down and murdered people regularly merely for sadistic satisfaction.
- Having thoroughly ravaged the entire Earth, he decided to hunt down and attempt to kill Lobo for enjoyment.
Trivia[]
- Injustice's Doomsday (If Classic Battle Mode Ending is counted) is the only incarnation of Doomsday to be Pure Evil, due to others having numerous issues.
