Doctor Saleon, also known by his alias Doctor Heart, is a minor antagonist in the video game trilogy, Mass Effect, serving as the main antagonist of Garrus's loyalty mission in Mass Effect 1. He's a sadistic Salarian scientist who specialized in various amoral practices, primarily the cultivating and selling of body parts. He's also one of Garrus Vakarian's archenemies.

He is voiced by Brian George.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

He sold dozens of people's organs to the black market, which resulted in the amount of body parts sold to the black market to increase in a number that C-Sec never saw before.
He would use his employees as test subjects so he could remove their organs and sell them to the black market.
If his employees organs failed to grow, Saleon would leave the failed organs inside his employees' bodies, which would cause them to have terrible health problems or even die from said problems.
After he found out C-Sec was after him, he blew his lab and used his test tubes as hostages so he could escape from the Citadel.
He changed his name into Doctor Heart and got a new ship, where he would continue to experiment on people and turning them into mindless mutants.
After Shepard and Garrus found him and tried to arrest him, he released his now mutated test subjects on them so they could kill them and escape.
When he was at Shepard and Garrus' mercy, he begged for his life and even lied that he wasn't Saleon and was actually just Doctor Heart.
- If Shepard decides to spare him, Saleon will sarcastically thank Shepard for it before trying to run away from him and Garrus.
Unlike nearly all the other villains in Mass Effect, Saleon lacks any redeeming qualities and has no good intentions, being motivated solely by greed and sadism, even Henry Lawson delusionally believed he was doing the right thing.
Despite the franchise's high heinous standards, Saleon stands out by having little to no resources and cruelly experimenting on his employees and dozens of people, some of them being killed in the process.

Trivia[]

Doctor Saleon is one of the two Mass Effect villains to be Pure Evil, along with the aforementioned Henry Lawson.
- He is also the only Mass Effect Pure Evil to not only be a salarian, but an alien in general.
