I really think you guys have spunk. You're like a planet of just the cutest little engines that could. But... like the late, great actual Dick Roman used to say to the whores he'd kick out of the presidential suite..."Cute doesn't quite hack it, sugar."

~ Dick Roman complementing humanity's creative "spark".
You know, I think this might end up as the slickest little genocide in history...... Just Sayin'. I smell "promotion"
~ Dick Roman after explaining his plan to kill any humans that are undesirable for consumption for Leviathans.

Richard "Dick" Roman is the main antagonist of Season 7 of the series Supernatural.

He is the leader of the Leviathans, a species that God locked away in Purgatory due to His fear that they will devour His other creations.

He was potrayed by James Patrick Stuart.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Although he and his fellow Leviathans are predators and have a compulsive need to eat, they are shown to have moral agency via seeing humans as food source, seeing angels demons and other monsters inferior to them, and showing their sadism by watching their Leviathans bibbing each other with a smile.
  • Found the real Dick Roman and killed him to assume his form and keeping his arm for later.
  • Plans to have humanity subjugated as a food source.
  • Has 2 Leviathans to assume Sam and Dean's form to frame them for mass murders nation wide in America.
  • Had Frank Devereaux killed for interfering with his plans.
  • Although he sees his species as a superior race, he has zero tolerance for failure from his fellow Leviathans. For example:
    • Threatens Valente that he will have him bibbed if he doesn't come up with good news.
    • Had Dr. Gaines bibbed for his experiment making the papers as Dick says to him that he broke the golden rule "There is no such thing as monsters"
    • Later in the Season, He devours one of them for failing to get the Word of God (it contains one of the only things that can permanently kill a Leviathan) saying to him "Bib you!? Why would I waste a perfectly good meal?!"
  • While Sam and Dean attempt to free Bobby Singer from the compound he was in, Dick said to Bobby that he is going to eat him.
  • Shoots Bobby in the head while The Winchesters and Bobby were in the van, leading to Bobby's death.
  • Visits the hospital from inside his limo to taunt Dean and having a sadistic smile while doing so.
  • Threatens to fire Charlie Bradbury if she does not recover what was on Deveraux's hard drive in 3 days.
  • Has Pete Charlie's superior eaten to keep tabs on her.
  • Orders Edgar to kidnap Kevin Tran and his mother along with the Leviathan tablet.
  • Arranges Gloria a representative in mainstream media to be eaten and copied.
  • Coerces Kevin Tran into accepting a letter of recommendation from him by holding Kevin's mother hostage. Although he has Edgar release his mother, this is done for pragmatic reasons as he wanted to know what Kevin knows.
  • Has his company SucroCorp make an additive that makes humans lethal for other monsters to consume to make his species the only ones to devour humans, betraying the deals he made with other monsters. The Alpha Vampire finds this out when talking with Edgar when the Winchester brothers visit the Alpha.
  • Makes a deal with Crowley that he and his demons relocate to Canada and Dick and his Leviathans keep America, and to give the Winchester brothers the wrong blood for the Bone of a Righteous Mortal washed in the Three Bloods of the Fallen(a weapon that can kill a leviathan) . Little did Dick know that Crowley gave them his own blood due to he wants Dick dead as well. Feeling that Crowley will cheat him, he has other Leviathans to take his form to confuse the Winchesters.
  • Kills Polly with Additive 3.0 to demonstrate what it does to humans that his fellow Leviathans deem undesirable. Later, he comments on this as "The slickest little genocide in history".
  • When Dean mortally wounds Dick Roman with the Bone of a Righteous Mortal washed in the Three Bloods of the Fallen, Dean and Castiel (the only one who can see the real Dick Roman) get teleported to Purgatory due to the effects of the bone and Dick releasing an energy blast. Dick laughs at them as he knows where they will end up.

Trivia[]

  • Dick Roman is the only Leviathan to be Pure Evil and the only antagonist to permanently kill off a main character.
