~ Deathborn |
Deathborn is the overarching antagonist of the F-Zero series, serving as the main antagonist of F-Zero GX and the overarching antagonist of F-Zero: GP Legend. He is the leader of the F-Zero Underworld who held the prestigious title of being the undefeated winner of the F-Zero GP, a race held in the treacherous depths of the Underworld. The authorities of the Space Police have linked him to each and every unsolved case involving missing individuals since the catastrophic Great Accident.
He condemn people to a desolate existence in the vast expanse of space, transforming them into eternal wanderers. Astonishingly, he has faced death on multiple occasions, yet has miraculously revived himself by replacing his organic body parts with mechanical ones, effectively achieving immortality. His ultimate goal is to wield both Champion Belts to rule the universe and determine life and death.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He brutally manipulated Black Shadow, using underhanded tactics and coercion to ensure his victory in the Championship Belt, going so far as to threaten to kill him if he didn't win.
- He was responsible for the infamous Great Accident, a catastrophic event that sent countless innocent beings hurtling into the void of space, leaving behind only devastation and despair.
- When Black Shadow lost the race, he launched his Agony Beam, which ended his life and silenced his wretched moans for good. While Black Shadow deserved it for everything he's done, he still chose a destiny worse than death, which was extremely cruel.
- Before the race begins, he reveals to Falcon his plan: the powers of light and darkness are condensed in both belts, and when combined, provide ultimate power that will allow him to control the universe, judging life and death on each star, claiming that he can "reduce this whole galaxy into a pile of ashes in an instant," implying that he has his own reasons for wanting to destroy the galaxy in which the F-Zero races take place.
- While his presumed death is horrific, in which he loses control of his Dark Schneider and falls into the lava beneath the track, it is played for catharsis and karmic retribution, given what he has done to everyone else.
- Unlike other villains, including Black Shadow, Deathborn is easily the most evil and dangerous villain in F-Zero because he has the most destructive goals of eradicating all life in the galaxy, and he uses the Grand Prix belt to rule the entire universe to achieve his twisted objectives. He is also crueler and more sadistic than other villains, as he clearly enjoys harming other characters for his own pleasure.
