“ | To hold in my hand, a capsule that contained such power. To know that life and death on such a scale was my choice. To know that the tiny pressure on my thumb, enough to break the glass, would end everything. Yes! I would do it! That power would set me up above the gods! And through the Daleks, I! Shall! Have! That! Power! | „ |

“ | Your voice is different, yet... its arrogance is unchanged. Welcome to my new empire, Doctor. It is only fitting that you should bear witness to the resurrection and the triumph of Davros, lord and creator of... the Dalek race. | „ |
~ Davros to the Tenth Doctor. |
Davros is one of the overarching antagonists of the Doctor Who franchise.
He is a genius, yet scarred and disabled alien scientist from the planet Skaro and is the infamous creator of the Daleks - the single most recurring and dangerous of the Doctor's many enemies. Despite having been killed many times, he always returns, leading some to believe that he is immortal, which he has claimed to be.
He was portrayed by the late Michael Wisher in 1975, David Gooderson in 1979, Terry Molloy from 1984 to 1988 in the TV series and the current run of Big Finish audio series, and Julian Bleach from 2008 to 2015.
What Makes Him Pure Evil[]
- He created the murderous and genocidal Daleks, making him responsible for everything they have done, including the trillions of deaths they have caused.
- Engineered the extinction of his superiors.
- Wished to use the Daleks to wipe out all life with him at the top with unlimited power.
- Accomplished the extinction of numerous species.
- Caused trillions of deaths and innumerable wars across the universe.
- Betrayed his own Daleks when they brought him back for help with a virus, as he attempted to wipe them out with the virus and develop a new breed of Daleks loyal to him, wanting them under his command.
- He stated that if he had the power to unleash a virus that would end all life, he would just because he could.
- Upon being revived by the Daleks, he helped them in their plan to win the war against the Movellans and achieve galactic dominance to continue their universe-wide genocide.
- He attempted to use the Hand of Omega to turn Skaro's sun into a source of power that he could use to destroy Gallifrey and the Time-Lords.
- When freed from prison to cure the Daleks of a viral infection, he used it as a pretext to experiment on Daleks in order to bring them under his control once more before unleashing the Movellan virus against them when the Dalek Supreme resists him.
- After taking over Tranquil Repose, a suspended animation facility, he turned comatose patients into protein and distributed them as food throughout the universe, except for a few he turned into Daleks.
- When he came to the modern world in The Stolen Earth and Journey's End, he captured 24 planets (including Earth) - several of which were populated - and used them for his own ends. He let his Daleks loose on the Earth, letting them murder, destroy and capture humans for testing (which would intentionally take their lives).
- His overall plan was to use the 27 Planets as a giant transmitter for his weapon - the Reality Bomb - a weapon that destroyed all matter down to destroying the atoms. He intended to use this weapon (which breaks down all structure and atoms) to wipe out not only all life in the entire universe, as well as every dimension and parallel universe, but all of reality and existence as well.
- He would later manipulate the Doctor and take advantage of his guilt and pity to sap his regeneration energy to create Dalek-Time Lord Hybrids.
- He wants to become a god and have power of such.
