David Alan Griffin, also known as The Watcher, is the titular main antagonist of the 2000 thriller film The Watcher. He is a serial killer who is obsessed with Joel Campbell, the FBI agent pursuing him.
He was portrayed by Keanu Reeves.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He strangles women with piano wire.
- He stalks FBI agent Joel Campbell.
- He murders Campbell's girlfriend because he is jealous of her.
- He sets fire to Campbell's house.
- He drives Campbell into early retirement.
- He continues killing to get Campbell's attention.
- He then stalks a new victim.
- He murders Campbell's neighbor.
- He sends Campbell a picture of his next intended victim and threatens to kill her within three days, and ended up killing her.
- During the chase he had with Campbell, caused the death of two police officers.
- He runs Campbell off the road and injures him.
- Doesn't really care for Campbell and all the fixation he had for him was nothing more than a sick obsession.
- He kidnaps Polly Beilman, Campbell's psychiatrist.
- He threatens to kill both Beilman and Campbell.
