Daryll Lee Cullum is the overarching antagonist of the 1995 psychological thriller film Copycat. He is a misogynistic serial killer and the nemesis of psychologist Dr. Helen Hudson.
He was portrayed by singer/actor Harry Connick, Jr.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He murdered two women by tying them up to trees and setting them ablaze while they are still alive.
- He stalks Dr. Helen Hudson because she got him arrested by exposing his ruse.
- He attacks Hudson at one of her speeches and tortures her by putting her head in a wire noose.
- He brutally killed a police officer named Roy right in front of Hudson by both slitting his throat and shooting him with a gun.
- His torture causes Hudson to suffer from agoraphobia.
- He converts to Christianity but has no genuine belief, getting baptized just to receive better prison accommodations.
- He gives burgeoning serial killer Peter Foley personal information about Hudson so Foley can use it to stalk and kill her, resulting in several deaths.
- He taunts Hudson by demanding a pair of her underwear in return for information about Foley.
- He starts another "correspondence" with an unnamed serial killer and encourages him to stalk and kill Hudson.
