Darkrai is the overarching antagonist of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He sabotaged Temporal Tower, causing its collapse and putting the planet into paralysis, increasing his power and drowning the world in darkness.
- He drove Dialga insane and used him as a puppet to rule the paralyzed planet.
- He tried to kill the Player and Grovyle when they went back into the past to stop the collapse of Temporal Tower.
- He tried to kill Grovyle first with his attack, but the Player took the attack instead protecting Grovyle but ended up getting hurt and almost killed, causing the Player and Grovyle to become separated as they exited the Dimensional hole into the past and the Player to develop Amnesia and turn into a Pokemon.
- He opened a distortion in space that fueled his powers, which he used to try to drown the world in nightmares.
- He psychologically manipulated the players and Palkia into believing the players were responsible for the spatial distortion in an attempt to eliminate both of the players.
- He put Azurill and Palkia into endless nightmares, and was prepared to do this to every Pokémon on the planet.
- Though he can be recruited as a loyal member of the player's exploration team after his defeat as a boss, this is only after Palkia's attack gave him amnesia, as he did not genuinely redeem himself.
