| “ | I was destined to be the greatest actor of all time. Monty Clift? If I had been in A Place in the Sun, George Stevens would have had me do the walk to the electric chair shirtless. I mailed away for one of those Charles Atlas exercise routines that they advertised in the back of the Superman comics, and I’d practice acting faces in front of the mirror. Sad. Happy. Moody. But Mother wouldn’t let me. I HATE HER! She can’t keep my greatness in the slips. One door closes, another opens. And this body is America. Strong, violent, and full of limitless potential. My arms will hold them down when they struggle. My legs will run them down when they flee. I will be the US steel of murder. My body holds a heart that cannot love. When Dora died she looked right into my eyes and I felt nothing. The clown was put on Earth to show me the way. To introduce me to the sweet language of murder. But I am no clown. I am perfection. I am greatness. I am the future, and the future starts tonight. | „ |

Dandy Mott is the main antagonist of American Horror Story: Freak Show. He has a unique role in the show as he slowly develops into a serial killer.
He was portrayed by Finn Wittrock.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- While his family was known for inbreeding and he was spoiled by his mother, he is not intended to be a truly sympathetic character. His ancestor, Edward Mott, who appears in Roanoke was mentally unstable from said inbreeding and was a slaver, but was not evil. (Slavery was legal at that time as well.)
- Prior to becoming a serial killer, he killed several cats. He also put their skulls on a Christmas tree.
- He considers himself above the law and that he can get away with doing anything that he wants, regardless of how horrible it is.
- It's implied, though not confirmed, that he was responsible for killing a child as a boy.
- Killed people randomly to entertain himself, though he also did so for vengeance.
- While it's hinted that putting on Twisty's mask caused him to become murderous, he had already showed psychopathic tendencies to begin with.
- Killed his maid Dora and feigned remorse to his mother. While she was disrespectful towards him, this was because of his brattiness.
- Discovering his new "purpose" as the "perfect murderer", he stabbed a gay prostitute and sawed off his limbs while he's still alive to leave him bleeding to death. (He didn't intentionally mean for him to die in this manner, but he later decided he enjoyed killing people gruesomely.)
- During his therapy session, he fantasized about people dying in gruesome ways.
- Though he apologized to her for the pain that he caused her, he killed his own mother presumably in part so he can bathe in her blood.
- His "love" for the Tattler twins is nothing more than a twisted obsession, and is extremely possessive to the point of killing anyone he perceived as a threat to their "relationship". For example, he decides to read their diary.
- Killed a door-to-door saleswoman and tied her severed head to his deceased mother like puppets.
- Taunted Jimmy Darling by saying that he is his God and claimed that he will destroy everything that Jimmy loves. While it wasn't a deliberate choice on his part, he almost succeeded when he killed most of the freaks.
- He later massacred several women at the Tupperware Party, and framed Jimmy for it, as he had been there prior to the attack.
- After admitting to her that he was a serial killer, he killed Regina by bribing Detective Jack Colquitt with 1 million dollars and proudly claimed that not only is he above the law, but also the law.
- Massacred the freaks after they decided to quit working for him due to his mistreatment of them, thus commiting a killing spree over a punishment he wholly deserved. Desiree was the only one to survive his attack, excluding Bette and Dot who he spared deliberately.
- When the freaks decide to punish him for his crimes by drowning him in a Harry Houdini box, he shamelessly begs for his life and attempts to bribe them to release him. Desiree notes that while he may have the face of a motion-picture dreamboat, she labels him as the biggest freak as of them all.
- While he does have some comedic moments such as throwing tantrums, these does not detract him since most of them are played to show how much of an egotistical man-child he is, furthermore, during the last few episodes of the season, he loses all of the comedic qualities and is taken as a serious threat.
