Count Dracula is the titular main antagonist of Bram Stoker's 1897 horror novel Dracula.
He is a centuries-old vampire, sorcerer, and Transylvanian nobleman, and the ruler of his namesake palace, Castle Dracula. During the events of the novel, he attempts to expand his territory into England and transform Mina Harker into a vampire, only to be thwarted and killed by the latter, Jonathan Harker, Quincey Morris, John Seward, and Abraham Van Helsing.
Since his introduction, Count Dracula has become universally recognized as one of the most famous fictional characters, as well as one of the icons of horror fiction, being the archetype of all vampires. He has gone on to inspire countless different adaptations, with many straying far from his original depiction in the novel.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He keeps Jonathan Harker prisoner while toying with him and playing mind-games, by ensuring he cannot leave the country, isolating him, in an attempt to make him dependant on Dracula and give up on resisting.
- He kidnaps a baby and gives it to his vampire brides to eat, and then sends wolves to kill the mother when she demands her baby back.
- Drives his own servant, Renfield, to madness and even tortures him psychologically throughout the novel.
- He killed a madman, but not before brutally beating him down so badly that he broke his face.
- Massacred a whole crew of a ship as he sailed to London, England.
- Sends a wolf after Lucy Westenra and her mother to gain entry to her house before draining her blood and turning her into a vampire.
- Kills Lucy's mother through sheer fear at the wolf's appearance in the process.
- Turns Mina Harker into a vampire to uncover his enemies' plans against him.
- His grand plan is to move to England so that he can feast on the people of London to his heart's content.
- Killed Renfield by breaking his neck because the latter warned Mina of his plans to kill her.
- He is said to have been a Solomonari, a dark wizard taught by the Devil himself, and it’s also heavily implied that dark magic was the source of his vampirism rather than being bitten like all of his victims, which means that he wanted to be a vampire at his own will.
- There is a fan theory saying that his Vampire Brides are his wife and daughters, which would make him an incestuous pedophile.
- What's worse is that he never even cared for any of them. And an example of this is when Professor Abraham Van Helsing killed all three of them, he never even reacted to their deaths in any way perform, meaning that he viewed them as expendable pawns.

- He has one of the largest numbers of different incarnations of a character who simultaneously counts as Pure Evil, rivaling multiple villains such as Satan/The Devil (who ironically crossed paths with due to the Scholomance), Sauron, Green Goblin, Red Skull, Ultron, Ghidorah, Carnage, Unicron, Nyarlathotep, William Afton, Darkseid, Brainiac, Shredder, Megatron, Hugo Strange, the Joker, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Dr. Robotnik and Slender Man.
- He's also the first and so far only villain on that list to be from the 19th century (and therefore the second oldest, the first being Satan, though he's still the first Pure Evil, since the original Satan doesn't qualify due to heinousness issues), the first vampire, and one of five characters to be in the public domain, along with Nyarlathotep, The Claw, The Great Question, and Satan.
