Long live COBRA, the greatest! HAHAHAHA!
~ One of the Cobra Commander's quotes.

My dear Dr. Burkhart -- you will soon see the distinct advantages of having no scruples whatsoever!
~ Cobra Commander

Cobra Commander is the main antagonist of the G.I Joe franchise.

He is the ruthless founder of COBRA, an evil terrorist organization bent on ruling the world. Cobra Commander is known for having deliberately started political and social conflict in a number of areas around the world while fighting the G.I Joe team.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Created the terrorist organization COBRA in order to achieve his goal of world domination.
  • Destroying Moscow just so he could make a demonstration of his power, leading to many deaths.
  • Although he once did love his own son, he completely subverts this later on and no longer has any care for him.
  • Burying his own neglected son alive, just so he could dehumanize himself even more.
    • He would eventually kill his own son with a toxic dart just to prove he could, showing absolutely no remorse for doing so.
  • Kicking a dog for no reason whatsoever.
  • Treating his pawns as expendable and killing them just for annoying him somehow.
  • Causing multiple social and political conflicts just so he could rule the world.
  • Killing numerous COBRA recruits when they fail or question him.
  • Attempted to kill all life on Earth just so he could feel like a god.
  • Even after he is finally captured, he shows no remorse for any of his actions, instead, gloating about his followers will continue his legacy.
  • Cobra Commander is also not a delusional terrorist, as one would expect, but a sadistic monster that takes pride in everything he does and does not even pretend to have good intentions, seeking power and committing horrific crimes to further his goals or out of sheer sadism.
  • While he may have some comedic moments, none of them detracts his villainy. In fact, they often just show how evil and cruel he is.
  • In Transformers Generation 2 he allows to ally with Megatron for sole gain of Cybertronian technology if he help rebuild his body but only for his own gain. offered Sidney Biggles-Jones own of his own members to Megatron, However this would cause an chain of events that would have some consequences such as it allowed multiple Autobots dying to Megatron thanks to new equipment given to him, and when the equipment Megatron gave him was sabotaged (After Sidney Biggles-Jones tried to stagtage Megatron's rail gun, the Decepticon leader redirected back to the equipment he gave instead) he still tried to get something out of it anyways and when the Autobot Hotspot destroyed it, he tries to have Hotspot captured and be dissected as a replacement instead, that forced the Autobot to self destruct.

Trivia[]

  • The 1983 and 1989 cartoon versions of Cobra Commander is not Pure Evil as that version is played for laughs unlike the comic version, who's completely serious.
