The Coachman (Italian: Il Conduttore del Carro), also known as the "Little Man" (L'Omino), is the main antagonist of Carlo Collodi's 1883 book The Adventures of Pinocchio (Le avventure di Pinocchio).
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He kidnapped many children, tricked them into getting infected by a virus that turns lazy children into donkeys, and turned them into slaves, whether for his own sake or for selling them to others.
- Even without mentioning a word about outright abusing the donkeys, they were at constant risk of getting killed due to getting injured or dying of exhaustion from being overworked. Pinocchio narrowly avoided being drowned by becoming a puppet again after falling in the water, while Candlewick died after being overworked on Giangio's farm. Pinocchio in particular was almost drowned after he got injured in the circus, and his owners wanted to use his skin as a drum.
- Sadistic to the degree that he bit off one of the donkeys' ears just for the sake of it, even though he had nothing profitable in doing so.
- He stands out as the evilest character since most of the other antagonists weren't truly evil, and the Fox and the Cat's worst action was attempting to kill Pinocchio and stealing his money.
