Chara is the main antagonist of ULTRA!TALE created by Animated Zorox. They serve as the main antagonist of Episode 1 and the overarching antagonist of the rest of the series.
Unlike their original counterpart, who was the first fallen human with a pension against their own kind, this version of Chara is a monsterous spirit who, after absorbing Frisk's soul, now aims to wipe out the rest of the underground, starting with Sans.
What Makes Them Pure Evil?[]
- Lack any of the ambiguous traits that their canon counterpart has. Being little more than a genocidal sadist looking to wipe out all of monsterkind.
- Is strongly implied to have either assisted in or outright been the cause of the genocide route. Meaning they lead the deaths of possibly dozens of innocent monsters, all to satisfy their own bloodlust.
- After losing several times to Sans, Chara absorbs Frisk's soul and proceeds to lay a brutal smackdown on him before slicing him in half. Beforehand, they continuously taunted him about his incoming demise.
- When Asgore enters the fight and passes Sans the Soul of Justice, Chara attempts to grab it for themselves. When they are halted by Flowey and Asgore, they proceed to brutally murder them both by slicing Flowey into several pieces and slashing Asgore so many times that he explodes. What makes this act worse is that Flowey and Asgore were Chara's adoptive family.
- When Sans absorbs the Soul of Justice, powering him up, Chara does the same, turning into their second form and continuing the fight.
- When Sans has them restrained so Frisk can reset the timeline, Chara gleefully reveals that after absorbing Frisk's soul, they lost their ability to reset, meaning that Chara had essentially doomed the timeline, leaving every single monster permanently dead and Sans as the sole survivor, something of which Chara takes full pride in.
- In order to break free of the restraints Sans put on them, they allowed Frisk to have temporary control over their body just so they could admit to him that they couldn't reset anymore, leading to Sans tearfully letting them free, prompting Chara to take back control, with them even being implied to have completely killed Frisk in the process.
- Prepares one last attack on Sans when he is left vulnerable and upset, going as far as to taunt him by saying that he would "be with his brother soon".
Trivia[]
- As of now, this is the only Pure Evil counterpart of Chara who doesn't appear to be a human, instead being a monster who looks vaguely humanoid.
