Here we are again, just me and you comedian, right? With your blasters, your flashing eye. You should better be prepared because soon... your last hour strikes
~ Chara monologuing to Sans.

Chara is the main protagonist of the Stronger than You Chara Response.

She is the first fallen human, who presumably after being reawakened, decides to go on a genocidal tirade through the underground for no specified reason (though considering her personality, it is likely for that she did it for sadistic enjoyment) After eradicating most of the underground, She comes face to face with Sans.

What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]

  • While she presumably has the same backstory her original counterpart had, there is no evidence that she still cares for her family unlike her original counterpart.
  • After presumably being reawakened from death, she proceeds to commit genocide on the entire underground, purging it of every monster that once resided within.
  • Throughout the song, she taunts Sans on how she had killed all of his friends, and presumably his brother.
  • Despite Sans giving her a chance to redeem herself, she ultimately chooses to reject it and continues her goal of wiping the underground clean of all monsters.
  • While she claims to be "made of LOVE", this does not mean she has moral agency issues, as she is clearly speaking metaphorically, as the song makes it clear that she is more than aware of how heinous her actions are, and even disregarding this, there's also the fact that one has to gain LOVE by killing a monster, meaning she still willingly became evil.
  • In the song itself, Chara explains that her purpose of being brought back was to erase all that was left in the underground.
  • At the end of the song, she is strongly implied to have killed Sans and then erased the world.
  • She is given absolutely no excuse for her actions, as there are no implications that she was corrupted into the genocidal maniac she is, and while she likely shares the tragic past she had in the original game, there is no evidence that her past in any way affected her, nor is there any proof that her wanting to erase the underground is because of it.
  • Unlike the original Chara, who is a morally grey character that could be interpretated as either good or evil on the moral spectrum depending on how one looks at it, this version of Chara is very clearly nothing more than a genocidal maniac who slaughters innocent monsters for the catharsis of it.
