“ | I am Chakravartin. It is I who keeps the wheels of this planet in motion...Now give me your hand, Redeemer Asura. Receive the Mantra's power and with it create a new world order! | „ |
~ Chakravartin attempting to manipulate Asura into joining him. |
Chakravartin is the god of Mantra and the overarching antagonist and final boss of Asura's Wrath. He is the archenemy of Asura.
In his true form, he was voiced by Hiroshi Ito in Japanese and Al Rodrigo in English. As the Golden Spider, he was voiced by Hiroshi Ōtake in Japanese and Joe Hanna in English.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Abused his god privileges by destroying planets throughout eons in various times to find his replacement, simply because he wants to explore other planets.
- Unleashed the Gohma in the first place so Asura would learn to become his inheritor, indirectly causing trillions of demigod and human casualties.
- Orchestrated the deaths of Strada and Asura’s wife, Durga, which led to his daughter being kidnapped and tortured for centuries.
- Destroys Olga as the Golden Spider to prevent her from killing his vessel Mithra, after Asura and Yasha defeated Vlitra.
- Possesses Mithra as his vessel, so he can use her powers to construct a more humanoid form of his own.
- Forces Asura to accept his offer in bargaining his beliefs of the universe by kidnapping his daughter after constructing his humanoid form in the Karma Fortress, and again after Asura entered his pocket dimension.
- He attempted to destroy Gaea in his colossal form, destroying hundreds (or thousands) of planets along the way with his laser so that he could recreate the world according to his own vision.
- Attempts to kill Asura for both his defiance and rejection of his beliefs, so he could prevent his "chosen heir" from ridding Gaea of his influences.
- Unlike the Seven Deities and Gohma Vlitra, Chakravartin has proven to have absolutely no redeeming qualities, which is especially evident through his massive god complex, lack of any empathy, and manipulating everyone around him to get what he wants.
Trivia[]
- In original Sanskrit term, Chakravatin mean ideal ruler, being a term used in Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism. Which is the opposite of what Asura's Wrath version of Chakravatin is.
- Although Chakravartin congratulated Asura for passing his trials and exceeding his expectations, thus declaring Asura the one to truly rule Gaea, this is not considered honorable in anyway, and does not disqualified Chakravartin's PE status.
- Chakravartin is one of the few versions of the Creator God to be Pure Evil. He is also the only Asura's Wrath villain to be Pure Evil.
