Carol and Dylan’s Mother is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Mr. Miller) of the retro-indie Horror game Deadly Night, made by Puppet Combo.
She was the abusive mother of Carol and Dylan who’s death sparks the events of the game.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- On top of her abuse onto Carol, she frequently pimped her daughter out to pedophiles for money which she would then use for alcohol, already confirming to have done this more than twice. While claiming it’s for the family, she makes it clear it’s only for her as she never uses the money to support her children.
- Abuses her younger son Dylan by locking him in a closet if he draws on the walls or doesn’t get out of the room when the pedophiles come.
- In a flashback, when Carol tries to stand up against her mother when she says she invited two men, she tells her she doesn’t care what she wants and tells her not to cry this time as they need the money.
- Her actions eventually cause Carol to light the house on fire which not only causes her death, but causes Dylan to get scarred from it and get put into the care of Mr. Miller, which turned Dylan into the serial killing cannibal he is by the present day, as well give Carol massive guilt in the form of hallucinating nightmares.
- While Puppet Combo is known for a lot of brutal serial killers in the franchise, Deadly Night takes place in a different universe than the games, meaning Carol’s Mother doesn’t need to compete against them. And despite her own son killing dozens of people, Carol stands out completely due to her disgusting crime of prostituting her prepubescent daughter out, something that neither Dylan, nor Mr. Miller ever did.
