~ Luciano as "Dreisan" confirming that Fransisco Mendirez was the mastermind behind the Gallante killings. |
Carlo Luciano also known as Morton Dreisan as his cover persona throughout his appearance is the main antagonist of Ace Attorney: Conflict of Interest. He made his debut appearance as Dreisan in Turnabout on the Web as a police coroner. He is however in fact a former assassin of the Rivales family who faked his death after the leader Michael Rivales wanted him dead for attempting to wipe out The Cadaverinis. After Fransisco Mendirez ordered Sir Gallante to try to kill Luciano, he took relentless action which instigated the events starting from Turnabout on the Web.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Throughout his career as an assassin, he has killed at least 7 people for the Rivales. These people being Tony Kent, Albert Hawkins, Catherine Nyan, Sandra Watters, Charles Locke, LEROY JENKINS, and Frank Ness.
- For Charles Locke's murder, he made no hesitation to kill him right in front of his young daughter. The event traumatized her so badly that her memories of her father's murder were mixed up.
- Wiped out most of the Cadaverini Family.
- Faked his own death and conspired in a plan to get Fransisco Mendirez off the hook of his "murder" by framing and convicting Salim Kushari, an innocent man.
- Turned Pearl's "kidnapping" plot into a phantom assassin child suspect that was sent to "assassinate" him through Kushari.
- He makes jokes about the bodies he autopsies and treats them as mere objects to satisfy his sadistic humor.
- In order to keep his false death hidden, Luciano murdered several people who attempted to dive deep into MN-6:
- He mercilessly shot Cody Hackins who was a minor in the back three times with Togamera's gun after finding out he hacked into Stranger2Love's account which would risk the MN-6 incident being exposed. He covered up his crime by neglecting to put the time of death on the autopsy report.
- He mercilessly beat Steven Jameson to death with a shovel, rendering him visually unrecognizable to the police forcing them to identify him using his broken teeth after he was too close to be exposing the MN-6 incident.
- He chased down Gladys Porter after the trial into her office and stabbed her to death in order to retrieve the bottle used to "kill" him in the MN-6 incident.
- He kidnapped Virgil Black from police custody and took him to his hideout where he proceeded to stab him and strangle him to death with a shovel as revenge for the attempt on his life. He killed two police officers in the process of the kidnapping.
- After Fransisco Mendirez took the throne of the Rivales mob, he sought out to ruin Mendirez by framing him for countless crimes and betrayals in order for him to lose all his support. These actions being:
- Making Nathen Togamera take the fall for Cody Hackin's murder so he would get the death penalty. This would make Togamera betray Mendirez during his incarceration.
- Coercing Maya into searching for Pearl by threatening Pearl's life through notes and send Pearl into the Fey Manor. This also coerced Maya into planning to disclose the notes' contents into the public which would give "Mendirez" a motive. He sends Raphael Donatello out to kill Maya and forces Meredith Fey to comply with the plan by threatening Pearl's life. He then orders Donatello to betray Meredith Fey by ratting her out about her role in the plot which makes him betray Mendirez for his lack of of honor on his allies. This also would make Phoenix Wright be less inclined to defend Mendirez should he get on the hook as a result of Maya's attempted assassination being pinned on him.
- Framing Mendirez for the murders of Virgil Black and Steven Jameson so he could get the death penalty, finalizing his revenge scheme. As an added bonus, he helped Phoenix Wright and Obadiah Williamson prove that Fransisco Mendirez was the mastermind behind the Gallante killings.
- The previous examples exemplify what his former coworkers known him for. A man who would not only kill his revenge targets but ruining them and everything they wanted until they beg to be killed by him. For this reason and others, he is feared by many people of the mob.
- As an attempt to escape his arrest, he attempted to provoke Mark Watters by making jokes about his wife's murder. When all else failed, he pulled a gun on his head.
- Before attempting to escape the courtroom with Mark Watters at gunpoint, he attempted to kill Phoenix Wright with said gun.
- In the alternate route, he fatally shoots Fransico Mendirez with the gun before his neck is fatally snapped by him.
- In one of the other bad endings, it's implied he went off to kill Phoenix Wright, Obadiah Williamson, and many of the cast should they fail to catch him.
- Being a murder target for Mendirez out of cowardice may be a decent reason to hate him, but his method of slowly and methodologically destroying the lives everyone close to him just so they can hate Mendirez and psychologically tormenting him by sabotaging his reign as the mob boss borders on disproportionate.
- He remains utterly remorseless for his crimes, laughing manaically when caught.
- He's never shown to have any loyalty for his boss, doing his dirty work purely for the fun of it.
Trivia[]
- He is the first Ace Attorney fanon character to be proposed and accepted on the wiki.
- In Conflict of Interest, he has the second highest confirmed kill count out of any character in the game (Virgil Black being the highest). However, most of the relevant deaths in the game were caused by him.
- He is one of the few ace attorney antagonists in any fanon who made a move to resist arrest even after their guilt was conclusively proven. His violent method on doing so makes him worse than others when attempting to escape justice.
