Brother Blood: FAILURE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! YOU WERE ALREADY SENT BACK AFTER GRADUATING ONCE! FAIL ME AGAIN, AND I'LL HAVE YOU SENT TO YOUR DOOM! Do I make myself clear?
Jinx, Gizmo & Mammoth: Yes, Brother.
Brother Blood: Outstanding.

~ Brother Blood attacking Cyborg.

Brother Sebastian Blood is the main antagonist of Season 3 in the animated series Teen Titans. He is the head of the H.I.V.E. Academy school and the archenemy of Cyborg.

He was voiced by John DiMaggio, who also voiced the Joker in Batman: Under the Red Hood, Toyman in Superman: Doomsday, The Faceless Hunter in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Aggregor and Ragnarok in the Ben 10 franchise and Rough Cut in DC Showcase: Catwoman.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • He took over the H.I.V.E. Academy, a school that taught teenagers how to become professional villains, and used the students to conduct several bank robberies in order to finance the development of his Ion Amplifier.
  • He is shown to be harsh with Jinx, Gizmo and Mammoth if they fail him. Even then, all of his students are just a means to achieve his ends.
  • After discovering Cyborg's identity, he seemingly takes control of his mind, and when the Titans attack the H.I.V.E. Academy, he gives Cyborg the Ion Amplifier to kill his former friends before Cyborg revealed his deception.
  • He steals Cyborg's blueprints in order to build a new weapon to destroy Jump City with a giant tidal wave.
  • He attempts to drown Robin, Starfire, and Raven in his control room.
  • While he was furious that he lost contact with Bumblebee (which was actually her aiming for the camera while pretending to have missed Cyborg) and says that Cyborg destroyed his "little friend", it's only because she was useful to him as his top student and he sheds any care he may have had for her after she reveals herself to have been another spy.
  • During his fight with Cyborg, Blood targets all of his weak spots while mocking him and slowly electrocuting him as well.
  • He captures and brainwashes a villain named Steamroller to steal the security codes for the Titans East Tower inside of Cyborg's computer systems.
  • He brainwashes the Titans East and puts them under his control.
  • He orders the Titans East to attack Cyborg.
  • While he seemed to respect Cyborg this is subverted when he tries to control him by force.
  • He attempts to turn all of the Titans East and the thousands of students of H.I.V.E. Academy into Cyclones in order to gain total control over their minds despite the fact that they are teens.
  • He tortures Cyborg during their fight, breaking off all of his limbs while revealing his plans to turn all his friends into Cyclones, all in an attempt to break Cyborg and force him to submit to his will.
  • His arms being shattered by Cyborg as part of his final defeat before being sent to prison is well-deserved for his crimes.
  • While he is sometimes played for comedy, all of his actions are taken incredibly seriously in-universe.
  • Although the show has a very high heinous standard with the likes of Slade, the Brain, Professor Chang and Trigon providing a decent amount of competition, Brother Blood still manages to stand out due to the scale of his crimes as he wanted to do what Slade did to Terra to thousands of teenagers, aware of the fact that not all of them would come out alive as a result. He's also an extremely personal enemy of Cyborg as him wanting to turn people into cyborgs was done to make him feel worse about his insecurities as a half-robot man, so seeing thousands of people become like him would emotionally damage Cyborg even more.

Trivia[]

  • He is the only version of Brother Blood to be Pure Evil.
  • Out of all the main antagonists of each season, Brother Blood is the one who appears the least often.
    • By extension, all four of the show’s primary antagonists are Pure Evil.
