Pure Evil Wiki

Brainiac is a major antagonist in the Tomorrowverse who serves as the main antagonist in Legion of Superheroes and the main instigator in Justice Society: World War ll.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • In the very first ever Introduction to the character he is already attempting to assassinate Superman with a kryptonite bullet.
  • He is indirectly responsible for Flash being trapped in an alternate dimension as the Flash had to travel at such high speeds to stop the bullet he was temporally and spatially displaced.
    • Ironically, he is also responsible for the creation of the Justice League, since it was the JSA on a parallel earth that gave Flash the idea of forming a team. The same Justice League that would save the world from numerous threats like him.
  • When Flash sends the bullet back and through the head of Brainiac it is played for audience satisfaction.
  • He forms a cult over a period of centuries that idolizes ethnocide and survival of the fittest.
  • He only uses the members of his cult as simple pawns, completely willing to sacrifice each and everyone one of them as long as his goals were met.
    • He also manipulates his cult and lies about his true intentions of dominating free will in the universe.
  • He feeds on Mon-El's superiority complex until it drove him to have genocidal urges.
    • Brainiac does this out of practicality so he can use Mon-El as a weapon rather than any actual belief Mon-El is superior.
  • He creates clone insubordinates and dubs them inferior to himself, using them as only tools.
  • When he did not get the results desired from his clones he combined them into a mass of flesh and blood for himself to use as a body while each was still totally conscious, leaving them in endless pain and suffering.
    • Even worse, one could hear them groaning in pain and Brainiac was completely indifferent to it.
  • He attempts to have Mon-El kidnap Supergirl after gaining her trust.
  • His death, while horrific for him, is seen as karmic for his experimentation and mutilation of his clones as well as his plot to dominate the universe.

Trivia[]

  • If not for his appearance in the Legion of Superheroes he would be unable to qualify as pure evil as not only would he have been considered a Generic Doomsday Villain due to a lack of personality, he would have also severely failed the heinous standards of the Tomorrowverse. But due to his grotesque and vile nature being put on full display in the Legion of Superheroes he was well able to meet the standards.
  • He, along with Joker, Sinestro, and Parallax are the only 4 Tomorrowverse villains that were approved to be pure evil.
