~ Brainiac, preparing to destroy the matter and antimatter universes. |
Brainiac is the main antagonist of the 2000 DC comic, JLA: Earth-2. Like his mainstream counterpart, he is a 12th-level transorganic syntellect who aims to kill countless sentient life and become a god of knowledge.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He swaps a plane full of 300 people in the matter universe with another one from his very own antimatter universe, killing everyone onboard both planes. Worse still, it was all just as a test to see if swapping between dimensions was scientifically possible.
- He tries to merge the matter and antimatter universes, which if successful would destroy all of creation everywhere, killing billions of people just so Brainiac can upgrade and evolve himself into an Nth-level intellect.
- Despite being a transorganic syntellect, he still possesses moral agency as he claims to be beyond good and evil, not to mention his insatiable lust for knowledge.
- Despite being from a mirror universe populated with horrible people doing horrible things (even the so-called heroes), there's at least some good people in it like Lex Luthor and Thomas Wayne. And no other villain in JLA: Earth-2 even tries to attempt omnicide, so Brainiac passes the system standard.
- While he was originally Ultraman's slave, it doesn't give him any sympathy points since he kills hundreds and tries to kill billions who had nothing to do with it.
