The Brain is a major antagonist of the 2003 animated series Teen Titans, serving as the main antagonist of the fifth and final season.
He is the founder and leader of the Brotherhood of Evil, which aspires to take over the world. He serves as the archenemy of the Doom Patrol and Beast Boy.
He was voiced by the late Glenn Shadix.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He founded the Brotherhood of Evil, bringing together other dangerous criminals such as Madame Rouge, General Immortus and Professor Chang.
- He mutated a gorilla into his personal assistant, Monsieur Mallah.
- During one of his fights with the Doom Patrol, he orders Monsieur Mallah to crush Beast Boy to death.
- He captures the Doom Patrol and has them tortured for five months, subjecting Mento to months of painful electrocution. He then attempts to crush Elasti-Girl to death in order to force Mento to admit defeat.
- He creates a quantum generator capable of creating artificial black holes strong enough to destroy entire cities in order to force the world to submit to his rule.
- He attempts to have the Doom Patrol and the Teen Titans killed in a large thermogenic explosion.
- He formulates a plan to exploit the Doom Patrol's weaknesses and have them separated one-by-one until all of them are killed.
- He attempts to use the quantum generator to destroy Jump City, the hometown of the Titans.
- He bands together several old enemies of the Teen Titans and recruits them to the Brotherhood of Evil.
- He orders Monsieur Mallah to hunt down and capture three pre-adolescent superheroes, Teether, Melvin and Timmy Tantrum.
- He has the Teen Titans and their allies that have been captured by the Brotherhood frozen to make trophies for his own twisted pride and amusement.
- When the Titans manage to free all of the frozen heroes and begin to overpower his forces, the Brain attempts to flee with Monsieur Mallah and detonate a nuclear bomb to kill all of the Titans, not caring that his allies will be killed as well. This contradicts him claiming they are his friends.
Trivia[]
- The Brain is, alongside Slade, Trigon and Professor Chang, one of the four Teen Titans villains to be Pure Evil.
- This is also the only version of the Brain to be Pure Evil, as his Teen Titans Go variation has too many comedic moments.
