Remember real good, you damn brat. Reality is no fairy tale. Is this some hero conveniently coming to the rescue? No! It's death!
~ Boss tormenting the boy.

Boss is the main antagonist of Chapter 1 for the 2005 manga Metroid Prime: Episode of Aether, the manga adaptation of the 2004 video game Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. He is an unnamed leader of a squadron of Space Pirates.

Biography[]

Boss leads a group of Space Pirates that attack the Crest to steal its cargo. Coming to the deck of the ship, he slaughters the guards in front of the terrified survivors, thinking to himself if they should hold them at ransom. Among the crew, Boss takes interest in a boy confronting his young sister about a hero coming to save them. Boss kicks him around as a cruel reminder of how no hero will come and rescue him or his sister. Before he could kill him, Samus Aran arrives and destroys the Space Pirate ship and armada. Cornering the Boss, he takes the boy and captain of the Crest hostage, but Samus refuses to lower her gun. Boss complements her guts before throwing the hostages at her, intending to slice all of them in half.

  • Takes the boy and captain hostage to stop Samus from attacking him.
  • Tricks Samus into losing her guard before throwing his hostages at her with the intention to slice all three in half.
