Bob Wolverton is the main antagonist of the 1996 thriller Freeway. He is a necrophiliac serial killer who abducts and murders runaway teenage girls.
He was portrayed by Kiefer Sutherland, who also played Senator Quintas Corvus in Pompeii.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Known as "The I-5 Killer", he picks up runaway teenage girls on the freeway and gains their trust before murdering them and raping their corpses.
- After picking up 15-year-old Vanessa Lutz, fleeing her sexually abusive stepfather, he gets her to tell him about her backstory before taunting her about it and accusing her of enjoying what her stepfather did to her. He then tries to force her to strip naked at gunpoint so he can kill and rape her.
- When Vanessa manages to overpower and shoot him, leaving him severely disfigured, he spins himself as an innocent victim and has Vanessa sent to prison for attempted murder.
- He is revealed to have a shed at his home full of violent child pornography and the remains of his victims, both human and animal.
- He murders Vanessa's grandmother, rapes her corpse to get revenge on Vanessa after hearing she escaped from prison, and disguises as her to kill Vanessa.
