Bluejam is one of the main antagonists of the Post War Flashback arc in the One Piece franchise. He is the leader of the vicious Bluejam Pirates who was obsessed with becoming an aristocrat to the point he was willing to do anything to become one even attempting to burn a Terminal and try to kill children.
He is voiced by Akihiko Ishizumi in Japanese, and Jim Johnson in the English dub.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He is a vicious pirate who terrorizes the people of the Grey Terminal, paying of the Nobles so he can kill whoever he wishes.
- His brutal nature is reflected in his crew who was willing to torture Luffy, a child, to get money.
- He is an intolerant boss willing to kill his men even for the slightest failures as shown when he executed Porchemy for failing to bring his money on time and losing to children.
- He makes a deal with King Goa to burn down the Grey Terminal for them in return for becoming a noble by tricking Luffy and Ace into spreading boxes full of flammables all across the Terminal so he could burn it down and kill thousands of people's families included an act that would have been entirely successful if Dragon did not evacuate the survivors.
- He leaves Luffy and Ace to die in the fire despite having no reason to and mocks them for thinking Sabo was their friend and falsely states he was just mocking them the whole time.
- He comes back to Luffy and Ace to try and force them to give him his treasure back despite condemning them to die with them in search of the treasure showing his obsession with greed at the expense of everyone else.
- When Dandan arrives, he attempts to kill her and Ace to get his treasure.
- Despite the very high standard of One Piece, Bluejam manages to stand out due to his low resources and his method of genocide (i.e. burning people alive) being unique for the series.
