~ Black Doom expressing his desires to Gerald Robotnik. |
Black Doom is the main antagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog fan-comic Flashback.
He is the vengeful leader of the Black Arms as well as the technical parent of Shadow the Hedgehog. Having managed to return since his last defeat, Black Doom manages to finish what he started by wiping out humanity, just as he planned to on his first crusade against Earth.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- As this web-comic takes place after the events of Shadow the Hedgehog, that means he has pulled all the same crimes that he did in canon including attempting to enslave humanity and using it as a food source.
- Sicced the Black Arms onto Sonic's World and had them ravage the planet for the Chaos Emeralds, tormenting and endangering presumably countless people, with Emerald Coast being one of the areas he attacked, something that is shown on-screen.
- Seeks to use the Chaos Emeralds to once more become Devil Doom so that he can then take revenge onf humanity, or in other words, completely wipe out the human race just as he tried to do in canon.
- When Sonic infiltrated the Black Comet, Black Doom had him captured, planning to hold him for ransom against Shadow.
- He invaded the Space Colony ARK and, upon seeing that Maria was somehow in the present, proceeded to kidnapp her so that he could use her as leverage against Shadow and force him to work for him and help him accomplish his plans.
- When Gerald Robotnik attempted to talk things out with him, Black Doom disregarded him, going as far as to say that humanity was going to "pay" for his mistakes, making it seem as if he is to blame for Black Doom attempting to wipe out humanity despite this obviously not being the case.
- He is shown to be a bad boss to his minions, the Black Arms, as seen by how he callously calls them imbeciles for accidentally grabbing a fake Chaos Emerald while completely disregarding how they helped bring him back in the first place.
- While he has a somewhat comedic defeat where his pendant goes flying off into the stars, this does not detract from his villainy and he is still played as a serious threat for the majority of his screen time.
