The Black Impostor is the main antagonist of the Friday Night Funkin mod VS Impostor.
They, like many of the other antagonists in the mod, are an imposter, unlike them however, Black is far bigger and far more dangerous, speaking very few words, Black is the smartest of any of its fellow imposters, with them being able to effectively win any game they are in and use their manipulation skills and fluency with a knife to gun down its opponents, making them the most dangerous of them all. Throughout the mod, Black proves themselves to the most active threat to Boyfriend, being the one to often stand against him and give him a run for his money.
What Makes Them Pure Evil?[]
- Sometime before the events of Vs. Impostor, Black would purposely get Gray's father voted out by framing him of being the Impostor. Black then adopted Grey following the latter's execution. However, it is only shown to manipulate Grey and have him become a homicidal killer just like itself, showing that it has no care for him, likely only using him because he is not bound by the limits of the game.
- After "Oversight", Black would punch Boyfriend from the airship, as it immediately starts chasing Boyfriend across the dock throughout "Danger", attempting to kill him.
- While it punching Boyfriend was considered a comedic moment, this is completely subverted by Defeat. It also shows how violent they are.
- They would ally with White in "Double Kill", which after failing to kill Boyfriend again, They would thrust the boy into the Defeat screen, where "Defeat" takes place.
- During "Defeat", they would once again attempt to kill Boyfriend. However, once Boyfriend passes the intro, the room lights to show a massacre, including dozens of Crewmate corpses and bones, some of those including corpses of past/alternate Boyfriends that tried and failed to defeat Black (most likely breaking the fourth wall), all killed in gruesome ways.
- As a result of Black manipulating Grey, the latter would become very homicidal, as Week 6's (the week BF fights Grey in) background is showered with dead bodies, including Girlfriend, Red, Yellow, and an unnamed character. Black would simply watch in sadism as the massacre between Grey and BF unfolded during Week 6.
- At the end of "Pinkwave", Black would pop out of a vent and sabotage the lights, which allowed itself and Grey to kill everyone in the room except Pink, including Boyfriend and Girlfriend.
- Pink herself, who is an Impostor like Black, is even horrified by these events, likely due to being a impostor that doesn't kill.
- Outraged at their repeated failures to kill Boyfriend, it would challenge Boyfriend to one last rap battle in "Finale". With this, it would turn into their true form. After which it attempted to kill Boyfriend once and for all.
- Within their Down sprite, the bodies of Gray's father (Defeat), and Tan, Green, Blue, Red, and even Gray's father once again, and Yellow's mini crewmate (Finale) can be seen, implying that they store all their victim's corpses in themselves and keeps them as trophies.
- They are never punished for their crimes, making them a Karma Houdini.
- They are one of the few FNF villains who has managed to make Boyfriend break his usual cocky and cheerful demeanor and become terrified from their carnage.
- While they are said to be a virus that exists within Among Us, thus why they are always the imposter, nothing in the mod implies that this gives them moral agency issues. Even in spite of that, other in-game entities, like Argent and Penelope, still display incredibly clear moral agency, which actually makes it seem more likely that Black has a moral agency.
- In an unused cutscene, Black and White find the body of the Red Impostor, to which the former responds by trying to fist bump the latter. While comedic, this actually would have made Black worse since this technically confirms that it views the other impostors as disposable.
Trivia[]
- It is said that they have a lover. While this could be detracting, due to said lover being a developer of the mod, the likelihood that it's a joke is high.
