Just one more round, till my kills. Are. UNBOUND.
~ Black during the song.

Black is the main antagonist of the video, Defeat and Finale with lyrics, originally thought to be an insane imposter, Black is revealed to be a virus who took over a Black crewmate and ate his host from the inside out, betraying, deceiving, and brutally killing hundreds to even millions of crewmates. Black is a sadist obsessed with killing others and after the Boyfriend reveals to Black the possibility of permanent death, Black became excited with that thought and plans on taking over the airship after permanently and brutally killing the Boyfriend, the other crewmates, and imposters so he can travel to new worlds and kill new beings, Black ends up making giving his soul to the Girlfriend in hoping she would let him live however this ended with his soul being removed from his body and being stuck in the defeat void forever.

What Makes Them Pure Evil?[]

  • According to the Boyfriend, at least 50 times Black has successfully tricked the Boyfriend and the other crewmates into believing he was innocent so crewmates or even another imposter could get voted off the ship into the vacuum of space and he would kill each of them one by one. We see Black do this at least in one game where Black puts up the facade of a friendly crewmate so he can slit the throats of the actual crewmates once their backs are turned, we see in this example a pile of bodies of Black's newest victims with that body consisting of Yellow, Purple, and Blue but stated to be much more crewmates killed. Black would trick the Boyfriend into voting out Green, causing him to be thrown into the vacuum of space where Black would then kill the Boyfriend by decapitating him when he turned his back, collecting his skull to add to his hundreds of trophies.
  • After beating the Boyfriend and brutally killing him and the other crewmates for the 50th time, he told the Boyfriend to respawn and play another game just so he could brutally kill the Boyfriend and the other crewmates all over again.
  • When he at first thought the Boyfriend wanted to fight him one-on-one in the defeat void, Black was prepared to stab the Boyfriend to death with a knife or likely even worse.
  • When the Boyfriend admired how his microphone was red, Black sadistically revealed that it was covered in the Boyfriend's blood from a past time he killed him where Black told the Boyfriend that he will make his death quick and painful.
  • Black has made it clear that he has made it his existence to lie, betray, and brutally kill others and is the definition of a sadist, incredibly gleeful and obsessed to kill anyone he can and cause pain to them, wanting the Boyfriend to respawn so he can keep endlessly killing, believing that a true Imposter lives to relish in the pain they cause where brutally killing others is a way of cheering him up, bragging how he will kill the Boyfriend during their rap battle like saying how he will “remove him from his skin” or will break his spine, calling the defeat void with the past corpses of his victims as his “trophy room” like a serial killer would collect mementos of their victims, stating how his kills are successes to him, how letting someone live is considered a sin to him, and how he makes clear that everything he does is murderous and lethal with him singing being no exception.
  • After the Boyfriend tells Black that he will defeat him, Black has revealed at least hundreds of the corpses of the crewmates and even the past lives of the Boyfriend that Black killed in brutal fashions, even holding one of the skulls of the Boyfriend’s past corpses to mock him how he is such an expert on losing and mocking the Boyfriend how he will soon join the pile of corpses, Black later in the song states that he has murdered millions in several ways like “choking, stabbing, striking, and stinging”, meaning that those hundreds of corpses are just a sample of how many he has killed.
  • When the Boyfriend asked him why he even bothers betraying and killing the crewmates if he isn't even gonna take over the ship to which Black responds that he can't take over the ship so he just wants to endlessly dismember the crewmates, this horrified the Boyfriend who called Black insane.
  • When a terrified Boyfriend tried to escape, Black prevented him and threatened the Boyfriend to continue rapping.
  • Black is shown to be very arrogant, believing he will always win, that the overall rules of Among Us are to be beaten and killed by him, that no one else can “play” Among Us as perfectly as him, and that he thinks of his fellow imposters as beneath him and that the crewmates are morons.
  • Even after the Boyfriend defeated him in a rap battle, Black still tries to stab him to death with a knife.
  • Even when the Boyfriend confirmed to Black isn't a crewmate, Black still intended to kill him, showing that Black doesn't specifically target Crewmates but is willing to kill anyone he can.
  • While he was aware that all of his kills weren't permanent and assured the Boyfriend that after he would kill him, he would respawn on the ship, this was never a redeeming quality as he only said that so he can over and over brutally kill the Boyfriend and the other crewmates.
  • After the Boyfriend revealed to Black the possibility of a permanent death and Black realized he didn't have to continue tricking and manipulating the crewmates and his fellow imposters and could do as much as he want without his kills being reversed, he planned to take control of the airship and fly to new worlds where Black would presumably commit massacres on each world, given how murderous he is maybe would even commit omnicide by wiping out all life on each planet.
  • When the Boyfriend tried to return to the airship to warn the crewmates and imposters of Black's plan, Black stopped him, and mockingly called him his “little guinea pig”, and when the Boyfriend told him a “terrible lie”, Black said he would make the Boyfriend’s permanent death twice as excruciating and said he was going to eviscerate the Boyfriend.
  • During his rematch with the Boyfriend, he mocked the Boyfriend, calling him weak and slender and he should just surrender.
  • It was shown that if he killed the Boyfriend, he would sadistically kill the crewmates one by one in brutal fashions (at least 6 shown), taking sadistic pleasure in how Pink and Yellow would become worried after noticing how their friends won't respawn so he can reveal to them what he has done.
  • It was revealed in a flashback that he was a virus who took over a Black crewmate, eating and killing his host from the inside, this horrified the Boyfriend who yelled he wouldn't let Black free to spread his virus to others.
  • Despite promising to stop killing if the Boyfriend won in the rematch, he still tried to brutally kill the Boyfriend, even spitefully revealing to the Boyfriend that he lied and said how “anyone with half a brain” could tell that it was obvious he was lying.
  • After Girlfriend saved the Boyfriend, Black tried to manipulate Girlfriend into thinking he saved the Boyfriend from a Grey Imposter, likely so Girlfriend could kill Grey instead of him, What makes this worse is that if this story is anything like the mod it was based on, Grey is Blacks adoptive son who got his dad voted out and manipulated into becoming an imposter, meaning that he was even willing to betray his own adoptive son to save his own skin if this happened in this continuity.
  • It was revealed that Black actually defeated and brutally killed 13,541 times (either in rap battle or in the actual game is unknown) and the only reason the Boyfriend was still alive was because Girlfriend reversed all of them.
    • Black's response to this was laughing and sadistically saying “I guess i'm pretty good at my job after all” in a mocking tone.
  • This manages to stand out from standard “kill the heroes” villainy due to how brutal these murders likely were given how Black threatened to brutally kill the Boyfriend during their battle and has temporarily brutally killed him hundreds of times in the Among Us missions, as well as the psychological impact this had on Girlfriend.
  • When Black realized that Girlfriend has been undoing the Boyfriend’s deaths thousands of times, he mockingly asks her how long she can keep up her facade on her own before the Boyfriend finds she has been betraying his trust and will leave the Girlfriend after finding out about those, as well mocking her that the Boyfriend would likely not want anything to do with her once he finds out she has been having him experience death thousands of times just so they can stay together and that she's foolish for thinking otherwise.
  • Even when Girlfriend stated how she was going to not kill him, Black still intended to kill the Boyfriend.
  • Even Girlfriend, a demon called Black an “irredeemable monster”.
  • While he does willingly rap with the Boyfriend, he does it so he could brutally kill the Boyfriend after whether he won or not and make the Boyfriend respawn so he can continue killing him and the crewmates over and over.
  • While it is revealed that Black is a virus like his canon counterpart and is possibly so sadistic because that is the nature of an Imposter, Black doesn't really have any moral agency issues despite being a virus due to having a gleefully sadistic, bloodthirsty, manipulative, and prideful personality and his description of Imposters could possibly just be his own opinion rather than truly believing that its how he thinks he should be, besides its not confirmed if Imposters are virus’s like Black, meaning that Black doesn't seem to really be an imposter.
  • While the series itself is definitely comedic with Black even originally had some detracting comedic moments, they were brief and earlier in the song, and after Black learns the possibility of permanent death, he is taken completely seriously and any comedic moments he has aren't played for laughs and just shows how sadistic and violent he is, as well most of his detracting comedic moments from earlier in the video also show how manipulative and violent he is.
  • While he does show some respect for the Boyfriend by stating that his reaction time is impressive when he tried to kill him and in the rematch how he is a formidable opponent, this does not hold up considering he has no problem with trying to brutally murder him and his respect seems because he values his skills rather than anything truly preventing, not to mention this “respect” doesn't stop Black from often insulting and mocking the Boyfriend.
  • While its briefly hinted that if the Boyfriend was a crewmate, Black would have spared him, this is very brief, and it's very clear Black doesn't care about his fellow imposters, calling them lesser than him.
  • While he asked the Boyfriend if he had any final requests before Black would kill him and did seem to willingly give the Boyfriend a round two, this was likely only to prolong the Boyfriend’s suffering.
  • While he does seem to be against the Boyfriend's arrogance and pointed out how “An insect which thinks itself a god will only scurry quicker to its own demise, one even you (Girlfriend) might not even be able to reload (undo)”, this seems to be a mocking statement rather than any standards. This is also very hypocritical considering Black's own immense arrogance.
  • While he does warn Girlfriend how she can keep the fact that she has been reversing the Boyfriend’s deaths thousands of times a secret from him forever, this seems it was a mocking statement rather than anything else.
  • While he was willing to help the Girlfriend, this was to avoid getting crushed to death and even if she didn't remove Blacks soul, Black still planned to kill the Boyfriend once the Girlfriend’s guard is down and him wanting a second chance appear trustworthy to the Girlfriend is for those reasons also.
  • While his fate is definitely awful where Black is now a soul trapped in the defeat void outside his favorite host crushed, this isn't played for sympathy and Black completely deserved it for his horrific and murderous actions, it was also made clear that if the Girlfriend didn't put him in this fate he would continue killing others, including the Girlfriend, showing that he had no intent to change.
  • While he describes as the black crewmate he possessed as his favourite husk, this is clearly only because he liked the host itself and that it was useful, he has no care for the host itself though as he possessed and ate them from the inside while sadistically revealing it to the Boyfriend.
  • While at the end of the video we see Black wondering through the defeat void as a soul and asks the viewer if they want to play UNO with him, this doesn't seem to be canon and even if it was, this seems to make Black look more pathetic than comedic and him asking to play UNO with the viewer was likely out of desperation for being alone in the void rather than any affability and this was subverted when Black gave up on that, saying "oh forget it".
