Beerus, originally known as Birusu (a pun on "virus",), is the main antagonist of the Dragon Ball Z movie, Battle of the Gods. However, in the original script, he was a completely different kind of villain than he was in the final product.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He caused the Saiyans to turn evil with a virus he created.
- He arrived on Earth, during Krillin and Android 18's wedding, to bring ruin for his own pleasure.
- He corruptes Goku's friends and forced him to fight them for his own entertainment.
- During his fight with Goku, buildings were destroyed, implying that people might have also died.
- Unlike his canon counterpart, he has no redeeming qualities and is far more sadistic.
- Also, while in canon destruction is treated like a job, this version prefers to corrupt the inhabitants of the planet destroy it themselves.
- While the franchise has a very high heinous standards, Beerus manages to stand out for being an evil god who wishes to bring destruction out of pure sadism. Also, this is an original version of the Battle of the Gods movie (So it isn't part of canon continuity), so he doesn't need to compare with the likes of Goku Black/Zamasu, Moro, Frieza and Zeno.
Trivia[]
- His Dragon Ball Super counterpart is not considered Pure Evil. He has several comedic moments, destruction is treated like a job, genuine cares/respects others around him, and is more of an anti-villain.
