~ Bajillia Naire to the Cosmic Fury Power Rangers as she explains her plan to free Master Zedd and her final lines before her destruction. |
Bajillia Naire is the secondary antagonist in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.
She is a wealthy businesswoman and founder/CEO of Squid Ink Inc, a weapons manufacturing corporation, with the intention of plundering the entire universe into war so she could profit from the war as a means of selling the corporation's mass weaponry production.
Originally aiding Lord Zedd, in actuality, manipulated him so she could take advantage of using his evil energy, combined with the Morphin Masters, to turn both him and the Master Captivator into a weapon that would unleash a massive wave of evil that would wipe out all good in the universe, including the Power Rangers, for her own greedy benefit of starting an intergalactic war.
She was voiced by Amanda Billing.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- She runs an entire corporation with the purpose of manufacturing and selling weapons to her clients for profitable income.
- It is likely that her profiteering involvement may have gotten many lives killed.
- She goes from planet to planet using her Squidrills to mine any planet out of their resources to build a mass-produced army of Zentinals.
- Her overall motive is to trigger an intergalactic war all across the universe to have as many of her weapons sold to a potential number of clients in order to profiteer from the conflict, which the likely result would be countless lives killed.
- She is shown to be a pretty bad boss to her employees.
- She mistreats them, abandons them in dangerous situations, and is implied to have them work under horrible conditions where they are barely paid enough. Scrozzle and the Zentinals have proven to be an example of this.
- While seemingly caring for her daughter, Squillia Naire, it's clear enough that any intention of rescuing her in the first place was to avoid public relations instead of her own daughter's safety and she's not above using her as a meat shield that led to her death.
- After regenerating, she felt no remorse nor grieved Squillia's death, subverting this redeeming quality.
- Any loyalty for Lord Zedd is feigned from the beginning, she intended to use him for the purpose of creating an energy wave made from his evil essence to annihilate all good in the universe in order to initiate her plans on starting an intergalactic war for profit.
- While Bajillia has hammy moments like her pedicure scene, interview in the news, and her own name being a pun for "billionaire", none of them detract her from her heinousness and she's played as a genuine threat in-universe. If anything, the slight hamminess drops the moment she reveals her true intentions and betrays Zedd.
- Despite the high heinous standards of Power Rangers, Bajillia stands out for having the highest kill count attempt that'll be done on a universal scale, one that'll wipe out all good in the universe by a nearly incalculable number compared to Emperor Gruumm and Emperor Mavro who both killed billions, if not, trillions. Including her intentions of triggering a war on an intergalactic scale and profiteering from it being rather unique, as well as being responsible for the death of a Red Power Ranger, something no main villain came close to accomplishing.
Cosmic Fury[]
- Upon finding Lord Zedd trapped inside his crystal prison, she had 40 scientists killed in their attempts to free him before the final attempt succeeded.
- She made a deal with Zedd to make him the head of an intergalactic war and offered most of her services, Squidrills, and Zentinal army to him, which proved to be of great use for Zedd to kickstart his galactic conquest. This makes her indirectly responsible for Zedd conquering both Earth and Eltar, Zordon's home planet.
- After Zedd invaded Earth, he succeeded in imprisoning and oppressing all of humanity throughout the globe, including capturing every last team of Power Rangers after having a hundred Squidrills conduct a forcefield that permanently shuts down their Megazords.
- Once Zedd conquered Eltar, he built an entire fortress on top and it's heavily implied the people of Eltar suffered greatly from his tyranny, all done to spite Zordon from the grave.
- Invented the Master Captivator to capture every last one of the Morphin Masters, which she had Scrozzle successfully capture all six effortlessly.
- She attempted to have the Cosmic Dragon Zord piloted by Ollie (brainwashed at that time) to expand Zedd's forces, which implies she intends to have it used as a war vehicle.
- Assisted Ollie and Jozotic in stealing all of the Cosmic Fury Zords when the Rangers were stranded in Erridis to save Solon.
- Manipulated Zedd into having the idea of combining himself with the Morphin Masters by absorbing their energy to become a Morphin Master himself through Scrozzle's words.
- During a fight with the Rangers, she used Squillia as a shield to save herself time to regenerate despite her earlier intentions of "rescuing" her from bad publicity. She doesn't show any remorse or grief over using her own daughter after she regenerated.
- Trapped the Cosmic Fury Rangers, Mucus, and Slyther inside Lord Zedd's fortress and have the place self-destruct in an attempt to kill them all for good. This leads to Zayto using the last of his lifespan to sacrifice himself for the other's sake and entering the Morphin Grid, albeit coming back as a Morphin Master.
- She had Scrozzle capture Lord Zedd into the Master Captivator and revealed her true intentions on a news broadcast, she attempts to have Lord Zedd sacrificed to unleash an energy wave of his evil essence that would wipe out all good in the universe.
- After this, she would kickstart an intergalactic war that'll be eternal as claimed and have as many of her weapons sold to clients via arms dealings for the amount of profit she'll receive.
- This act is carried with enough weight considering Zedd's energy wave shares similarities with Zordon's Z-Wave, in contrast, the Z-Wave turned all evil into dust while those spared (like Lord Zedd, Rita Repulsa, and Divatox) turned to normal but good while the potential effects of Zedd's wave is likely to turn all good into dust only. It's even acknowledged by Billy Cranston, a veteran Ranger of the Zordon era, who confirmed how big of a threat the wave turned out to be, therefore it's not Fridge Horror.
- After this, she would kickstart an intergalactic war that'll be eternal as claimed and have as many of her weapons sold to clients via arms dealings for the amount of profit she'll receive.
- She had hundreds of her Squidrills form a blockade around Planet Eltar to prevent the Rangers, Mucus, and Slyther from escaping.
- She made one final attempt to destroy the Master Captivator to unleash Lord Zedd's wave to have all good in the universe wiped out by blasting it. This nearly succeeds when her blast incidentally comes close to breaking the Captivator after her demise.
Trivia[]
- She is the second Power Rangers Pure Evil to be female, coming after Queen Bansheera.
- She is the second Pure Evil in the Hasbro Era of Power Rangers, the first being Evox. Technically, because Evox is revealed to be Venjix, she's the sole Pure Evil to be original in that era.
- By chronological order of the installments, she is the final Pure Evil in the Power Rangers franchise.
