Azwel is a major antagonist from the Soulcalibur series. He first appeared in Soulcalibur VI, which marks his debut appearance in the new, rebooted Soulcalibur timeline. He is the main antagonist of Libra of Soul's story mode, and is nicknamed The Leader of Humanity.
He was voiced by Masashi Ebara, who is the dub voice for Lord Voldemort, in the Japanese version, and by Taliesin Jaffe in the English dub.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Performed terrible experiments that turned people violent and murderous.
- Forced a group of ruffians to fight to the death and questioned the survivor, relishing the man's guilt, anguish and conflicting emotions.
- When the Aval Organization became too suspicious of his agenda, he killed every high-ranking member of the Aval, including Grøh's master since it was revealed that Azwel wanted a fragment of Soul Calibur to further his agenda.
- He turned Grøh's best friend, Curtis, into a malfested, forcing Grøh to kill his friend.
- His final goal was to use the swords to sacrifice the Conduit and create an "Ultimate Seed" that would wipe out much of humanity.
- Although he has some comedic moments, it does not detract him from his severe atrocities that he's committed.
Trivia[]
- To date, he is the only character from the Soulcalibur series to be Pure Evil.
